Vehicle Detail
Restored 1972 Honda CT70 "Trail 70" Mini Bike. The Frame # is CT70-2040635. The Engine # YG154FNI *07030320* This bike was completely disassembled. All parts were cleaned and/or painted. The Frame, Front Forks and Swing arm were sanded, primed, painted and cleared in Sikkens Automotive Paint. The front forks are off of a KO. The Color is Emerald Green Metallic. The engine and transmission both run excellent. The engine is a 125 cc, I believe it is a Lifan, but I am not sure. This engine was in with a lot that I purchased. The trans is a 4 Speed Manual Shift (1 Down / 3 Up). Very easy bike to ride, it will run 45 MPH+. (It still has more room, that's as fast as I wanted to go on it) The Odometer shows 3583 Miles, but this mileage is not accurate. It's probably pretty close on the Chassis, but the engine is a replacement and I would it think has less miles on it. The Carburetor is a Huaguang, The Spark Plug, Plug wire and Boot are new. The Fuel Line is new and the exhaust is a newer Lifan Brand. The seat has been recovered, but isn't a perfect fit, it was slightly short on the back side, but still looks good. (You don't need to pick the bike to death, I'll do it for you.) New grips were installed. New Honda decals were applied to the sides of the frame. The Front Brake Cable, Clutch Cable, Speedometer Cable and Throttle cable are all newer replacements. The Speedometer works and seems to be accurate. The Handle Bars and Levers are newer replacements. The Chrome is in nice condition, not perfect. There are some light scratches and light pitting, still look great. The Rear Tail Light Bracket does have some rust, but still looks fine. The Rear Lense is in very good condition. The underside of the seat, seat bracket, gas tank and bracket, foot pegs and kickstand have all been painted in Gloss Black. The wheels have been repainted in Silver Metallic. The Cylinder has been painted in High Temp Flat Black. The Right and Left Side Engine Covers were painted in Silver Metallic. The Engine Cradle has been sanded and painted in Silver Metallic. New Buddy Pegs, New Front Fender Cable Bracket and Air Filter will be installed and I also have a 12v to 6v converter ordered that will make the lights functional. They will be installed by the auctions end. I wanted to go ahead and get this bike listed within plenty of time for Christmas. I also included some pictures of the bike during the build. This bike starts on the first couple of kicks. It takes quite a kick, this engine is not lacking on compression. It is typically cold natured on start up. Warms up to operating temperature in a few minutes. It runs excellent, has lots of power and is a joy to ride. This would be an ideal bike for running trails, to take camping or cruising around at a race or Swap Meet. If you are wanting a Numbers Matching Perfect Bike, this isn't it. If you want a great looking bike that you can jump on and ride, here it is... This engine and trans combo make a lot of power. It's much quicker than a factory engine. *** I am running this auction with No Reserve *** There is no Title with this bike, but I can provide a Bill of Sale if the Winning Bidder desires. Would be best if the new owner picked up the bike, but I will work with anyone wanting to send a shipper so long as you make the arrangements. I will be glad to help load. $500 down due within 48 hours of the auction end via PayPal. The full amount can be paid through PayPal as well. Message me with any questions. No International Bidders please. On Dec-15-15 at 18:28:31 PST, seller added the following information: Here's a shot of under the seat. The bike retains the Original Steel Gas Tank, Bracket and Cap. It has a New Battery and an Original Battery Tray. The CDI Unit is mounted to the side of the tray and the 12v to 6v Converter/Regulator is under the Battery Tray. The bike retains the Original Key Switch, Key and Wiring Harness. The Headlight and Taillight work. There is no Hi/Low Switch, so there is only one Beam.
