IT IS THE BUYER'S RESPONSIBILTY TO PICK-UP IN PERSON OR ARRANGE PICKUP. Being offered is this 1976 Suzuki project. I purchased this machine with the intent to restore, however, I have no time. I have a clear Pennsylvania titled issued in someone else's name. I have not heard the machine run, but was assured by the previous owner it was running before going to sleep. I filled the machine up with clean fluids and was going to fire her up only to discover that the jugs have a crack on the forward exhaust side face directly above the "R" marked SRIS oil port. My plan was to disassemble and have the crack in the jug welded. In the advent the weld was not successful I purchased a replacement jug which will be included with this sale. The replacement jug shows surface rust and pitting on the center cylinder which at minimum will require a honing to clean up prior to installation. The last picture below shows marked in red on the replacement jugs the extent of the crack on the existing jugs. I believe with the radiator removed a resourceful welder could weld crack with the jugs yet in place on the crankcase. I was in the process of disassembling the machine and the pipes were removed and the head pulled. The head was re-installed but not properly torqued. Sorry, I have no time to reinstall the pipes. The condition of the chrome is pretty decent and the pictures don't do justice because of the brown leaves in the trees reflecting in the chrome as shown below. One exhaust pipe has a crack from the center stand and another has a crack near the mount lug. The jug mounting brackets on the ends of the pipes are rusted / frozen in place. The existing engine cylinders appeared clean and the engine has compression. No broken engine or exhaust pipe studs or bolts. The tank is clean. There is a dent on the bottom side and the interior has been sealed. The underside has be re-primed. The paint has lifted on the top of one of the side covers. The machine will need a new master cylinder, brake lines, petcock, horn, throttle cables re-installed (included) , seat & pan, air cleaners, center kick stand spring and a couple bolts here and there in places. An excellent condition pair head light bucket dog ears shown in the pictures will be include. In the same picture and extra set of foot rests will not be included. As shown in the pictures below, I don't know why, but the end of the rear fender has been flared (?). Also noted one tooth on the rear sprocket has a chip and the front engine sprocket covers show the typical damage from a front thrown front sprocket. There is a chain that is not presently installed and currently soaking in a pan of oil. The machine is presently located at a residential address in Western Nassau County on Long Island.
