Vehicle Detail
I am representing this beautiful white over red 1963 Chevrolet Impala for a close friend of mine. I have known about this car for many years now, and it has finally been decided to pass it on where it will hopefully find a true collector of original automotive history. To give a brief history of the car, we would have to travel back to October of 1962 in Pendleton, Oregon where my friend's mother traded in her 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air for this 1963 Impala. Fast forward many more years, and with the passing of his mother, the car was left in his care where it was brought to California in 1995. It has been resting inside of his garage for these many years, being driven sparingly and maintained as needed. The amazing part of this car is that is has only covered 50,000 miles since new. This will be evident in the pictures provided. This car has never been repainted. There is no evidence what so ever that any body work has ever been attempted. The interior is factory stock from 1963. The 327 Turbo-Fire engine and 2 speed Powerglide transmission in the car were born with it. The only obvious deviation is that the carburetor has been replaced at some point. The service records were, unfortunately, discarded after her passing. I did manage to find the original bill of sale from the dealership, the original owners manual, and accessory manual. As a bonus, the original spare key bearing the name of the dealership and phone number (CR 6-6211).As you walk around the car, and as mentioned earlier, there has been no body work ever done to this car. There is no rust to speak of, other than some light surface rust in the trunk that could probably be scrubbed off. The original spare tire is still with the car and has never had a mile put on it. The interior of the car pulls you right back to the 60s. It is, as mentioned, original. That being said, it is over 50 years old. There are 2 thin cracks in the dash. On the drivers side of the bench, the seams have split between the vinyl and cloth. Easy fix. on the rear seat, the sun has dried a portion of the seat back. The headliner is taut and very clean. All of the interior bright work is absolutely amazing. The carpet is still very plush and bright red. This Impala starts very easily, runs and drives very smoothly. The engine is very quiet and has such a slow, steady and buttery smooth idle. Please take a look at the pictures. If you need more, like any under body shots, I'm happy to provide those. I really encourage a PPI so that potential buyers really appreciate what they are purchasing. The car is in my shop, and I am available most days to show it.
