Vehicle Detail
Own a piece of automobile and fashion design history! This very rare Christian Audigier VIF1 executive limo was actually owned by Audigier himself, and has been signed by him, Snoop Dogg, Bobby Brown, and more! VIF in French means high-energy and lively, with V derived from the word vivre. It’s a lengthened (by 14 inches) and heightened (by about six inches) Cadillac Escalade, upholstered with leathers that have been custom-tanned and took weeks to produce. Released in 2008, the VIF1 marks Christian Audigier’s foray into the luxury coach-building line. Originally sold for over $300,000.00, the VIF1 boasts of a raised roof, stretched rears and doors, customized fabricated body panels and grills with high intensity lighting as well as 24 carat gold-plated emblems and exhaust tips. Certain parts of the cabin, such as the seatbelt clips, touch-screen controls and instrument bezels, are fashioned from 24-karat gold to "reflect a certain rock ’n’ roll street culture." There is even built in Wi-Fi, and a "bat phone" to call the driver, and a front-mounted camera so passengers can tell if they’ve reached their red-carpet destination without suffering the indignity of having to ask the driver by watching the TV monitors! The elegant interior offers everything from a 26 inch flat panel TV to wooden cabinets as well as a maple console that houses a six disk alpine DVD changer, Sony Playstation 3, Apple IPod, cigar humidor, and an Apple Mac mini 80GB computer. About Christian Audigier: Audigier began working in the fashion industry at the age of fifteen. He designed a line of denim that was inspired by his love for rock and roll, specifically The Rolling Stones. His designs became so popular that a top executive from MacKeen Jeans took notice of Audigier's talent, affording him the opportunity to create with the company and travel the world.[3][4] He moved to New York in his early twenties to expand his own brand.[5] He worked with Guess, Levi's, Diesel, Fiorucci, Bisou Bisou and XOXO, among others.[6]Audigier on a motorcycle in 2010He then moved to Los Angeles where he would achieve most of his success as a fashion designer. After the death of artist Kenny Howard, also known as Von Dutch, in 1992, Howard's daughters sold the Von Dutch name to Michael Cassel and Robert Vaughn.[who?] The clothing brand that followed gained popularity in the US and attracted the attention of celebrities such as Madonna, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and later Ashton Kutcher and Eric Church. Audigier helped popularize the brand, but left on amicable terms in 2004. He went on to popularize the Ed Hardy brand.[7] Audigier's other brands include SMET with French singer Johnny Hallyday.[7][8] Audigier's brands are sold internationally in over 40 countries.[9][unreliable source?]In 2008, he joined forces with a small cooperative in France, Montpeyroux Estates, to release a line of fine wines. The bottles are wrapped with labels that are designed with the classic Ed Hardy designs and are done by art director and photographer Barry Sutton.[9][unreliable source?]Audigier was a partner along with Pure Management in a nightclub in the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.[10][11] The nightclub closed in September 2010.[12]He released a line of Ed Hardy perfumes for men and women.[13] In 2012, he appeared on an episode of Sweden's Next Top Model.[14]
