Vehicle Detail
I purchased this truck about 3 years ago at my local Ford dealer as a trade-in with about 260,000 miles. I have since done quite a bit of work on it, thinking to keep it long term for hauling and towing only. I recently decided to get a new one to be used as an all-around rig, so am letting this one go. I understand that it was used by a regional bread distributor to pull their bread delivery trailer and they switched to a delivery van. The truck is not modified or chipped, except for the Ford AIS that I installed this summer, and switching from a dual-mass flywheel to a South Bend solid flywheel. I get 22 mpg average on my 100 mile round-trip commute, but am light-footed. The truck runs and drives great, everything works fine, A/C included, and the list of parts I have installed is long, including: South Bend clutch & flywheel kit Ford AIS kit KYB Gas-a-just shocks front & rear Radius arm & I-beam suspension bushings Passenger inner tie rod Power steering pump and hydroboost hose Exhaust backpressure valve sensor & sensor tube Oil cooler o-rings Dipstick fitting o-rings at oil pan Fuel bowl reseal kit w/fuel pressure relief valve rebuild kit & fuel heater element Two new Kirkland Signature batteries Starter A/C blower motor Brake light switch & pedal pad Driveshaft center support bearing New main driver and passenger side door weatherstrip seals Radiator & oil cap Serpentine belt, tensioner, & idler pulley Factory shifter boot & shift knob Thermostat & thermostat seal Front wheel bearings, races, & inner wheel seals Replaced a few bad glow plugs early on Installed a nice JVC deck with bluetooth, USB, and Infinity Reference 8602 speakers front & rear Upgraded to later-style cup-holder which doesn't send your coffee to the floor at the slightest turn The only real flaws in an otherwise clean truck, is that a medium-size rotten tee limb fell on the roof and made small dents on both sides right above the doors. I would say the rear tires should be replaced in the next 5,000 mi. The fronts could be good for 10-15.000. The brakes have little wear and are very strong with alot of pad left, but have some vibration, so rotors may need turning. Thanks alot for looking and feel free to ask any questions or if you want detailed photos or information in a particular area.
