1974 Dodge Power Wagon with a 440 big block mated to a 727 Torqueflite transmission. Pretty standard combo in these trucks. Everything works. I purchased it as a non-running parts truck and repaired/replaced parts until it was in daily driver condition mechanically. While being easy to start, with good brakes, good shifting, and everything in working order, it's still an old truck that needs some carpet, new window rubber, seat covers, and a some attention to the rust. I find it perfectly reliable for dump runs and trips to the lumber yard. I've been using it as my work truck and have commuted an hour each way to work. Those longer drives are a bit tiring, but it runs great and gets down the road. The engine has plenty of pick up and go. The transmission holds well and is responsive. The brakes function as well as 4 wheel drums can. I've replaced wheel cylinders, lines, and shoes. I've basically gone around the truck and replaced leaky seals, greased the bearings, replaced u-joints and drive shaft yokes. It's got a new distributor, carburetor, manifold gaskets, rebuilt steering gearbox, etc... It does have the standard old Dodge truck rust. Mostly in the bed and some on the front fender bottoms. I've purchased patch panels for the front, but was planning to just find a different bed or build a flatbed. I have a box of new front end parts and various nick-nacks to include with the sale.
