Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTION...Every High Bid Wins It! Rare 1948 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MARK 1 2DR COUPLE WITH V-12 ENGINE. Features an original totally overhauled Ford/Lincoln 130HP(305ci) V-12 engine with 3 speed standard/overdrive transmission . This is one of only 845 units produced by FORD/LINCOLN in 1948. NOTE: This cars starts, runs and drives well(please look at the videos below) with all gauges including speedometer operational. It started as a frame-up restoration over 20 years ago and the owner rebuilt/replaced all mechanical electrical components in a $30,000 plus restoration. She was stripped, all body panels including the underside fully undercoated, and painted in her original grey color(single coat) as the owner wanted her to remain as original as possible. The leather interior is new including headliner. Glass is very good with no cracks, or clouding, but there is some bubbling evident in the lower areas of the door glass just above the door armrest as it is original aged safety glass. There are a few storage blemishes but overall the paint still looks great, with no cracking or spydering at all, and has not faded as it has always been stored inside(there is an area around windshield frame with some bubbling). The chrome shines nice but does have some hazing/bubbling in areas consistent with a 67 year old vehicle and has a small chip missing on front side grille drivers side as shown in the pictures. Car rides on new Coker Whitewalls with less than 1000 miles on them. Both doors open close excellent and the power windows are functional. There are a few minor items left to finish off such as installing trunk liner and latch as well as gas cap lock, door stoppers and exterior door mirrors. These items were lost/misplaced when car was sent out for repaint several years ago but are easily available thru the Lincoln Club sponsors. Recent work includes installation of carburetor kit, new battery, rebuilt distributor/coils tested, flush gas tank and change fluids. It is being sold with a clear title and province of Manitoba registration. Take a close look at the pics before bidding as they show the condition better than I can describe. Would suggest that successful bidder go over this vehicle completely as it has sat in storage for several years. Buyer to pay $1000 deposit within 24 hours of auction close and balance due within 7 days of auction close via bank transfer/cashiers check. Vehicle is available for pickup at Pembina ND 58271 and arrangements can be made for storage(for a month or so) until you can arrange pickup. Thanks for looking! NOTE: This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel the listing early. If the present bid exceeds the offer I have been presented with I will let the auction run its course so if you are a serious buyer please put your best bid forth as you know this vehicle rarely becomes available on the market unreserved. These cars are typically reserved at well over $20,000 with an average retail of around $24,000 at auction. Great opportunity to own a driveable "TRUE AMERICAN CLASSIC" vehicle as a super low price. https://youtu.be/VNxioM28zvs https://youtu.be/lUyTSQxceXA https://youtu.be/C4CwGqM0XyA
