Up for auction is a 1948 Ford Super Deluxe 2 Door Sedan (and only that car). This car was some type of government vehicle originally but, I bought it out of a building where it was parked in 1986. This car is rust free, runs, drives and stops. I have not had it on the freeway, only on surface roads for short distances to circulate the fluids. The cable for the 2 speed Columbia rear end was disconnected before I bought the car. The previous owner did not know why. The odometer reads 68213 but I have no way to prove that this is accurate. When the car is first started one of the water pumps squeals and then it goes away. This car is as RUST FREE as they come. Please take a look at the floor and undercarriage pictures, almost all of the paint is still on the underside of the floor pans. This car has lived its' entire life in a desert climate. There is a small crease on the passenger side of the cowl that is hardly noticeable and does not affect the door operation. The government name on the trunk lid was removed at some point. This is the perfect candidate for a restoration, rod or leave it alone and drive it. The only things that I know are missing from this car are the sun visors.
