Offered at no reserve.  Private Party Kelly Blue Book is $12302.  This is by far, the most incredible car I have ever owned.  Don’t let the mileage dissuade you, this car has been meticulously over maintained, only touched by a Dresden Phaeton certified tech at the dealer. To give you insight into my obsessive nature and this car, I replaced the inboard trunk mounted tail lamp assemblies because the imbedded backup lens had a slight yellowing and no longer looked like crystal.  This was $518 that I happily spent. The Phaeton was to be Ferdinand Piech’s crowning achievement, to build the best car, ever.  For instance, one of the parameters around the car was it had to be able to maintain 190 MPH all day, in 125° heat and keep the interior of the car at 72°, without any air drafts.  To accomplish this, the top of the dash is perforated and A/C is pumped through it along with little hidden ducts throughout the cabin.  If the heat load is too great, active motorized burl walnut doors slide open to reveal traditional dash vents, once it has cooled down, each one will close independently.  Heat load is further mitigated by dual pane, IR reflective glass.  Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear (automotive show, Jeremy hates everything) said he would pick this car over any other sedan, and that he drove one without the 155 MPH limiter and “it went up to a smooth and stable 201 MPH, and I still couldn’t hear the engine”.  Every seat is heated, air conditioned and has Shiatsu massager functions.  The center display allows you to change many functions of the car, including dialing how you want the active suspension to respond.  The option list is too extensive to list, if you can think of an option, it probably has it.  I have all records from 01/2005 at 14,414 miles.  This is a completely hand built car.  See this link for a tour of the factory:  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9Q65sLZhs0)       Car is in incredible condition for being 11 years old.  Most people think it is new.  It has the Klavierlack piano black finish, ($5,000 option).  There is absolutely zero orange peel in the finish.  It makes glass look rough.  I believe it has every option except the four seater configuration.  Before the warranty was up, I spent a great deal of time trying to come up with anything that I could get them to pay for, which is partly why there was so much done.  Car has been very reliable.  I believe the fact that it has been a California car since new is a big factor.  The underside looks new, there is no rust or corrosion of any kind, anywhere.  I bought this car as a garage toy, but loved driving it so much, it became my daily driver.  It has always been garaged and I park underground.  It has the “sensitive” leather option, and all the leather is soft and supple.  Real burl walnut wood trim.   This car is a Bentley Continental / Flying Spur with VW emblems.  When sales did not meet expectations, being that VW owns Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti, they decided to put the billion dollars of research and development and the three hundred million dollar factory to profitable use.  If you look at one of these Bentleys you will notice the seats, displays, gauges, switches and drivetrain are the same (they added two turbos to them).   If you ever wondered what it would be like to fly an earthbound Gulfstream, this is it.  There is no wind noise or perceptible difference between 50, 80 or 130 MPH.  I took the car in when I first bought it because I thought the 200 MPH speedometer was inaccurate, (until you fly by someone as if they were standing still).  Driving the car at night is a sight with everything backlit in red, I tried to capture this in a picture, but it is a far cry from seeing it in person.   On March 1, 1990 Corvette released a specialized factory supercar named the ZR-1. This car broke seven records, three of which were world records for speed and endurance, (24 hour endurance averaging 175.885 MPH), far surpassing European supercars.  The ZR-1 held these records for well over a decade, until the Phaeton W-12 engine easily bested all of them, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Corvette_%28C4%29). Car comes with tons of records, receipts, build data sheet from Dresden and documentation as well as the original leather bound owner’s manual plus a Phaeton factory car cover with thermal pads to protect from exhaust heat.  I even have a Bentley key for it for fun!  There is a help button on the dash to help with any active function also.    Items replaced:  HID lights, Serpentine belt tensioner, Serpentine belt, Cabin air filters, Water pump, Radiator, Cooling system service, Transmission wiring harness (was seeping fluid at seal), Transmission fluid flush, Oil cooler line, Hood insulator, A/C condenser and service system, (small wood chip punctured on freeway), Both trunk mounted light assemblies, Coolant temperature sensor, Coolant expansion tank, Battery charging control module, Toyo luxury touring tires, Engine air filters, Oil and filter, Front and rear brakes, VPS AGM battery, Starter battery, Left front driveshaft (due to torn CV boot), Wiper blades, Spark plugs , Intake manifold gasket and Fuel filter.  All services are up to date.  See 43 pictures below, I took them the day before placing the listing, I have been told that pictures are not visible on some restricted phones.  If this happens to you, try looking at the ad on a computer.  Call if you have further questions, (916) 425-4162.
