Vehicle Detail

This is an actual screen used vehicle from Fast and Furious 7. This vehicle has been on display in our museum as a memorial to Paul Walker and his last Fast and Furious movie. We no longer have room for it and are letting it go to the highest bidder. The car was what they called a "rent to wreck", it was rented and on set just before the Thanksgiving break of 2013 and set to be filmed immediately after the break. Because of the tragic car accident that took Walkers life, the movie was put on hold and the truck was sent back to its owner. In March the movie production had begun again and the truck returned to the set where it received a makeover by Universal Studios special effects department. The truck was used in the scene where Jason Statham walks away from the military hospital that his brother was kept at. Behind Statham was a trail of destruction, which included this truck. The truck had its drive-line removed, it was painted to look burnt and then fitted with propane tubes to make it appear on fire. It was laying on its side in the movie. Most or all of the drive-line was put in the bed of the truck and returned to its owner. We purchased it directly from the person that rented it out to Universal Studios. We got copies of all the documentation showing its screen use. This truck makes a great display item. I would not suggest anyone tries to reassemble it to running condition. I have never heard the engine run and have no clue as to the status on any of the mechanical items. I am selling it as a static movie prop only. Movie cars are becoming harder to come across, this is because the studios are letting few cars out because of liability issues. Even the amount of movie cars that pop up on eBay has dropped considerably. This is a very rare opportunity to own a real piece of Fast and Furious history! *year and model are questionable, if you'd like to research the VIN to find out exactly what the truck is it is 1BCAV2AA100786 On Nov-04-15 at 08:56:39 PST, seller added the following information: *** Sold on Bill of sale only, no title. On Nov-09-15 at 06:59:37 PST, seller added the following information: This information was sent to me by a fellow eBayer Hi. I wanted to provide you some clarification on the vehicle. The VIN like many British cars of this era, is missing the country of origin code which is SAL. You simply add the SAL to the digits for the correct VIN. In this case it is SALLBCAV2AA100786. Also it does not begin with a one but rather an "L". Using that information, I was able to decipher the VIN - this is actually not a Defender but rather a Series III 109". I hope this helps. Thanks! SAL - United Kingdom LB - Series III C - 109" A - basic soft top V - low compression 3.5 V8 2 - 4spd transmission AA - build year 1979 - 1984 100786 - serial numbers
