1926 Model TT Truck - Rare Muncie Overdrive! This incredibly well preserved truck has sat for decades waiting for restoration, most recently in Montana which undoubtedly contributed to its survival. Everywhere you look on this old Ford you appreciate how original it is: the fabric-covered wiring harness, the original roof wood slats (preserved thanks to a later metal cover), the heavy timbers for the flatbed, the original windshield glass. Even some of the 1926 upholstery is still there! This truck is complete and would make for an easy restoration: there's very little rust (see photos), almost all the metal is flat-panel, the drivetrain is complete, and all parts you'll need are reproduced and inexpensive. In fact, even by Model T standards, these trucks are especially easy since there's so little body, upholstery, and trim. Basically, take it apart, sand blast and repair, spray it black and build a new wooden bed, and you're practically done. Body: body is in overall good shape, especially the cab, with points of rust as shown in photos. I'd replace the front end sheetmetal since reproductions are so inexpensive. Includes quite a number of often-missing parts such as the gas tank, both doors, windshield frames, correct large-diameter ammeter, etc. Frame: solid and straight. Motor: turns over freely, haven't attempted to start it. Appears complete except for coils. Carb is loose but included. Tranny: this truck is valuable not only in the fact that it has a complete 1927/27 motor, but also that it comes with a rare vintage Muncie sliding-gear transmission, Model T5-158. According to what I can find on the web, this is probably the best all-around Model T accessory since it offers an overdrive, an underdrive, reverse and direct drives. Shift lever moves freely.
