Vehicle Detail

Restored 1972 Honda CT70 "Trail 70" Mini Bike. The Frame # is CT70-2040635. The Engine # is CT70E-301295 This bike was completely disassembled with the exception of the Engine and Transmission. All parts were cleaned and/or polished. The Frame, Front Forks and Swing arm were sanded, primed, painted and cleared in Sikkens Automotive Paint. The Color is Emerald Green Metallic. The engine and transmission both run smooth. This is a 3 Speed Semi Automatic. The gears are shifted as on any motorcycle via a foot shifter, but no clutch. The clutch is centrifugal type clutch. Very easy bike to ride, it will run 30 MPH+. The Speedometer shows 3563 Miles, but I do not no the accuracy of this. The Carburetor is a new Cheng Wey, the Carb Boot, Points, Spark Plug and Plug wire and Boot are new. The Fuel Line is new and the exhaust is a new Lifan Brand. The seat has been recovered. New grips were installed. New Honda decals were applied to the sides of the frame. The Battery Strap and Battery are new and charges properly. The Chrome Air Box Covers are new. The Chain is new. The Headlight is new and works on High and Low Beam and the Tail Lights and Brake Lights work with each lever. The Horn works. New Buddy Pegs were installed. The Front Brake Cable, Rear Brake Cable, Speedo Cable and Throttle cables are all new. The Speedometer works and seems to be accurate. A new Tail Light Bracket and Lense were installed as well. The Chrome is in nice condition, not perfect. There are some light scratches and light pitting, they still look great. The underside of the seat, seat bracket, battery box, foot pegs, kickstand and air cleaner box have all been painted in Gloss Black and the underside of the fenders were painted. The wheels have been repainted in Metallic Silver. The Cylinder has been painted in High Temp Flat Black. The Right and Left Side Engine Covers were painted in Silver Metallic. I also included some pictures of the bike during the build. This bike starts on the first couple of kicks. It is typically a little cold natured on start up. Warms up to operating temperature in a minute or Two. It runs great and is a joy to ride for the young, old or anybody in between. This would be an ideal bike for running trails, to take camping or cruising around at a race or Swap Meet. If you are wanting a Numbers Matching Perfect Bike this isn't it. If you want a great looking bike that you can jump on and ride, here it is... There is no Title with this bike, but I can provide a Bill of Sale if the Winning Bidder desires. Would be best if the new owner picked up the bike, but I will work with anyone wanting to send a shipper so long as you make the arrangements. I will be glad to help load. $500 down due within 48 hours of the auction end via PayPal. The full amount can be paid through PayPal as well. Message me with any questions. No International Bidders please.
