ENGINE: The Cornet was TWN’s 197cc 2 stroke double-piston block engine with uniflow scavenging, double U type cylinder, bore 2X 45mm, stroke 62mm, swept capacity 197cm, power 10.1HP at 5,000rpm, 1 port light metal ribbed cylinder with hard chromium plated running surfaces. Crankshaft in triple ball and roller bearing. Engine and gear very easy to dismantle, without even removing the block motor housing from it's place. GEAR: 4 speed gear with adjustable ratchet pedal control. Pedal gear shift lever on the left side with individual adjustment. Direct shifting to neutral from any gear. 3 plate cord insert clutch in oil bath. CARBURETOR: Bing starting carburetor type 1/26/24, with choke lever on the handle bar. Oil wetted type air filter in a large size intake silencer. IGNITION: Lighting and starting assembly that consists of an electric starter and a battery ignition-lighting generator. Operation of starting, lighting and ignition switch in the headlamp shell by means of a removable ignition key. Both batteries are accommodated in the lateral battery housings below the driver's seat thereby enjoying full weather protection. FUEL: 1/20 oil to petrol mixture. TRANSMISSION: Endless chains. Primary chain 3/4" x 3/8", bushing diameter 6mm, 58 links, running in oil bath. Easy adjustable rear wheel chain, 1/2" x 5/16", roller diameter 8.5mm, 114 links, protected against dust and splashes of water by final drive enclosure, yet easily accessible. FRAME AND SPRINGING: Welded steel tube frame with sleeves of malleable cast iron. Pivoting fork rear wheel suspension with oil damping swinging arms. Telescopic front fork with long and softly acting coil springs and oil damping. BRAKES: large light metal full width hubs with coiling fins and high permanent brake efficiency. FUEL TANK: Smart narrow design container, capacity 12 liters (roughly 2.5 gallons) with approximately 1.8 liters (3 pints) reserve. Long stretched air cell knee grips. WHEELS: Chromium plated deep bed steel rims, front 1.60 x 19, rear 1.85 B x 19. Straight side tires front 2.75-19, rear 3.00-19. MUDGUARDS: Stamped deeply balanced front mudguard. Rear mudguard with shapely and ample side fairing that insures an effective protection from mud. DRIVERS SEAT: Saddle seat classic. Sprung cushion hair and rubber, cover of wine red synthetic leather. On request with conventional type saddle or dual seat. DUAL PASSENGER SEAT: Saddle seat classic. Sprung cushion hair and rubber, cover of wine red synthetic leather. WEIGHT: 136kg (300lbs), ready for the road and filled.
