Vehicle Detail

Up for your consideration is an original survivor Grand National. It is a one-owner car with clear title. It has always been kept inside out of the sun and weather. It was purchased new from Toth Buick in Akron, Ohio in early 1988. The original owner, who was an engineer for BF Goodrich, retired 6 months later and moved to Obrien, Fl. He had the car transported to his new residence there, and in that garage is where the car lived until about 8 months ago when I bought it from his widow. The previous owner would only drive the car into town 3 miles once per month for a cup of coffee then return it to its bay in the garage. When I took delivery of the car, it was nearly perfect. I did have to send it to have the headliner replaced, as it was releasing in a couple places. I also removed the year-old gas from the tank and replaced the fuel filter as well as the battery. The oil and filter were also changed and the car was buffed and polished to bring out the beautiful shine that was hiding underneath. There is not a single dent or ding in the car anywhere. The undercarriage is flawless. The exhaust is original and complete. There is barely even any surface rust under the car. There are no oil, water or exhaust leaks. The suspension and steering are all tight and quiet. It's like driving a new car. There are no odd engine noises or exhaust smoke. Power steering works great. Alternator charges and is quiet. Headlight, taillight and turn signals all work. The interior is like new. All original. No signs of wear or structural fatigue at all. I don't think anyone's ever sat in the back seat. The carpet is flawless. No snags fading or dirt. Same with the trunk. It's perfect. The windshield and side glass is all crystal clear with no scratches. There is no rodent or water damage anywhere. The door and window seals are original and pliable. No air leaks. The doors open and close perfectly with no sag or pin wear. No door rust. The air conditioning blows ice cold. The transmission shifts beautifully and does not leak. The dash lights all work and the instrumentation is clear and crisp. I have driven this car the total of about 10 miles. It's like a time capsule. There are wax pen marks from the factory still visible on the radiator support. I have the original owners VHS tape, window sticker and a service tag from the original dealership. The original keys with spares are included. There is also a spare, full size wheel and tire (besides the correct mini-spare in trunk) that go with the car. I have it stored, under cover, in the warehouse attached to my office and I am running out of room. I intended to save it for my kids, but they don't seem to show the interest in these old collectibles like I do, so I have decided to cash out and move on. I welcome and encourage previewing M-F 730A-430P EST. Saturdays/Sundays with an appointment -no problem. The car is not currently insured. The title is open and signed in the original owners name, so you could be the true 2nd owner. Or if the winning bidder prefers, I can transfer to my name and sign over from there. Your call. The local DMV office is one block away from where the car is located, so that part is very simple. I have a notary on staff for all document transfers. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. Fly in and drive home if you don't mind adding mileage. I can pick the buyer up at Gainesville, Fl. Regional Airport (GNV) at no charge. It's 25 minutes away. I've listed all I could think of about the car. If you have any questions on something I didn't address, please don't hesitate to ask. I am near my phone most of the day and can get a response to you very quickly in most cases. I'm selling at NO RESERVE. You set the price. Serious bids only. Ask any and all questions before bidding. Negative or zero (0) feedback bidders must inform me of their intent before bidding or the bid will be erased. Thanks for looking! On Oct-08-15 at 14:12:24 PDT, seller added the following information: It was brought to my attention that I failed to upload any photos of the engine compartment. The engine compartment is very clean. All the original decals are there. No hacked up wiring or aftermarket filters etc.. Even the wax pen markings on the radiator support from the factory are still there. Unless I can find the 'add photo' feature, all potential bidders can message me their email address or phone # and I will gladly the photos under the hood.
