You are looking at a 2000 Ford Windstar LX Minivan with handicap accessible conversion including power ramp, power passenger door, kneeling suspension, lowered floor, handbrake, and removable seats on platforms. The conversion was done by VMI and everything works good. The ramp has toggle switches on the dash and beside the door to open the door and raise and lower the ramp. The only problem we found was that every so often the ramp hesitates to come back up when the switch is being pressed and needs a slight helping lift under the ramp to get it going. This doesn't happen all the time, and we think the motor assembly may just need an adjustment, but we didn't look into it further. The lowered floor and kneeling rear suspension reduce the slope of the ramp and make it much easier to roll a wheelchair into the van. Also, the foot operated parking brake lever has been replaced by a hand operated lever, and the spare tire has been moved from underneath to the inside rear of the van. The van has a 3.8L V6 engine with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It runs and drives good with no mechanical problems we could find. There are only 89,826 miles. The body is in good shape with average wear for the year and miles. There are some minor scratches and dings, but no rust problems or damages. The tires are in very good shape, almost new, and it has good brakes, and a good PA inspection till next May. The interior is clean and in good shape. It has a nice aftermarket JVC CD & cassette stereo that is satellite ready and has aux inputs. Other options include A/C, cruise control, and power windows, locks and mirrors.
