I bought this car since 2002. Transmission. It is a 5 speed manual transmission. Clutch was changed about two years ago, so still had a lot more miles to go. Engine. This car makes 29 miles/per gal on the HWY and 22 miles/gal on the city. I have changed the oil in this car every 2K miles. The engine is running smooth. NO oil leaks. AC is running good, it take a few minutes, but cools very well. Once the AC is on, the engine looses a little of power, but it is a 2.2 L, what can you expect. The engine is a 2.2L. 199500 miles on it. It burns 1Q every 2K driven. The alternator was changed recently, thermostat and water pump. The engine or cooling has a problem since I bought it and never was able to trouble shoot: when the engine gets hot, the gauge will climb close to red and the fan will kick in, NOT allowing to overheat (which never has for me, ever). After the fan starts, the gauge will bring the temperature down, fan goes off, temperature will go up and then again the cycle start; this happens only while standing in traffic, on the highway never goes beyond half normal. I changed thermostat, water pump and finally gave up, because the car worked fine for all these years. Head gaskets are good, according to a mechanic I took it; and he said :"if it is not broken, don't mess with it". I changed tires recently 50K miles and they have a whole lot more to go. It will need front rotors, because it vibrates, when the brakes are pressed, this is according to the mechanic. I will be changing the oil as soon, as it is sold. Interior. The driver seat has a tear (see photo) on the left side of the seat. Upholstery, is clean and no tears except on the drivers side. The AC Delco cassette player, it not working properly, it makes a screeching noise. Speakers work fine, not blown. Exterior. On the paint aspect: There is a deep scratch on the right side, which has been since the day I bought it. There are some paint chips on the hood (see photos) seat. I described the car to the best of my abilities. I am a nurse not a mechanic.This is my everyday driver, so the mileage is current as soon as it is sold, I will stop driving it.I will miss this car.
