This is a very rare item. I am selling a 1981 BMW R65 that has an interesting and famous previous owner. This motorcycle was purchased and owned originally by Computer Visionary Stephen Wozniak of Apple Computers fame. This is a vintage 648cc touring motorcycle with shaft drive and many extras listed below. The motorcycle runs and rides beautifully. I acquired this classic motorcycle from an uncle who bought it directly from Mr. Wozniak also known as THE WOZ from Apple computers. I have done extensive research and data retrieval on this motorcycle to gather as much hard evidence of ownership and documentation provenance from the CA. DMV. For documentation I have registration information, the original BMW plastic card of ownership with Mr. Wozniak's name and information, assorted document and even the original BMW key that came with the bike. I also have the original BMW owner's manual and original BMW air pump and a cable wheel lock. Also included in sale are the 2 original saddlebags that are in great shape. I have tried to keep the motorcycle as close to the original condition as I could. Motor cycle maintenance kept up using only BMW parts and BMW service mechanics. As far as I know this motorcycle has always been garage kept. All documentation is in good condition . The motorcycle runs like a CHAMP! The odometer reading shows only 11877 miles on the original boxer engine. Any scratches are part of normal wear and tear for a bike of this age. Motorcycle has brand new tires (they have the little nubs still). Bike also has new battery and impressive and comfy after market seat. For normal maintenance I have had fuel tubes replaced and new grips added. Item still has CA. air pollution package. It is an excellent ride and a very clean looking motorcycle. This is a collector's level motorcycle that has proven ties to one of Americans technology giants. The pictures included do not do justice to this bike. The bike has original factory cool shade of blue with gold colored pin striping that came right out of the BMW factory. It has a great patina and the classic BMW motorcycle silhouette. It is one of the best made and designed motorcycle I have ever ridden. The documents and other evidence that I have are registration card, the original newspaper clip advertisement from the local paper that was used in this motorcycles first sale. Item must be picked up within 7 days of auction close. Seller must receive communication and payment arrangement notification from buyer within 48 hours of close of auction.
