I purchased this 1974 Corvette three years ago. It had been sitting for 10 years, 8 years inside and two years outside. It wasn't running so I removed the carburetor cleaned it put a new gasket on and new plugs and wires. I installed a new gas tank and sending unit, and it started right up. I also replaced the alternator and battery, both mufflers and tailpipes. The brakes were locked up so I replaced all four rotors and calipers. Both bumpers were falling apart so I purchased two fiber flex bumpers with new brackets, had them painted, not a good match. My intent was to restore this car but I became ill due to my exposure to Agent Orange and I am no longer able to do this kind of work. I drove this car for the last three summers. It needs to be restored the frame has surface rust but no holes, there is also some rust on the metal pieces. The valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket has a minor leak. The motor and trans work good. The lights and turn signals all work. I have a new Corvette America suspension kit, a new AM FM cassette radio, new wheel bearings, new head light switch and a new heater plate all these items will be included in the purchase of this car. The paint is an old repaint, not that well done but is passable. The body has some small cracks here and there but nothing major. The speedometer and clock is not working but all the other gauges are fine. The door panels are in good shape, the seats are worn, there are a couple small tears on the sides of the drivers seat the interior is original and will need to be updated. The back shelf has some broken plastic parts. There is one piece of window trim missing. A $250.00 deposit is to be put into my Pay Pal account at the auctions end.
