Up For Sale is a Very Rare and Unique Euro Mercedes 500SEL. Running and driving. Four wheel SLS that works. Early K-jetronic system with high compression five liter M117. Built late in 1981. wdb12603712011494 Mileage: 43,009 This story dates back to 1982 when Romie Buzlea, a prominent Orlando dentist, picked the car up from Germany for his beloved wife. The couple was ecstatic with this car and had it customized between Zender and AMG. This car is one of a kind! Because it was specially imported  for Romie, his name is stamped on the inside door vin tag! This Mercedes has 4 wheel Self Leveling Suspension from Mercedes-Benz. Once the car arrived in Orlando, Florida it became part of Dr. Buzlea’s large European car collection which included an array of Porches, Ferraris, BMWs, and Mercedes. This car has very low miles because it was not driven very much. It was maintained and kept up until Dr. Buzlea became blind approx. 10 years ago and the collection became somewhat neglected. This car was last used in 2010 before his death. This was purchased from his estate in dry storage and in non-running condition. After we purchased it, we replaced the fuel pump and filter, charged the AC and replaced the steering lock, which had been damaged by someone who had attempted to start it using the wrong key. So what we have today is: A very unique 4 wheel SLS suspension car with Zender interior and trunk spoiler and AMG cosmetic effects. A true Low Mileage car!This Mercedes Engine is VERY quiet and smooth! A good interior, originally black but redone by Zender in gray. A rust free body-There is some rust on the corner of the quarter panel and where the spoiler is installed on the decklid. A straight Accident free car, from what we can ascertain. This car needs maintenance because of its long storage. The accumulators need to be replaced, which has prevented us from driving the car anymore then around the block ( it causes the car to be a little bouncy which is not a good combo with the old tires). Accumulators are readily available. The SLS does work. The car holds battery charge, starts right up with the turn of the key and it shifts through all gears, brakes well. All the windows work. The A/C system works. The Paint is faded. The SLS suspension stays level! This could be very costly if it did not work but it does level as it is supposed to when it’s supposed to. NO SLS EXTERNAL LEAKS AT ALL! All glass is good around the car.Missing radio, but dash, headliner, seats and carpet are all very nice. One small crack in dash on top of instrument panel. We have an early black dash with no cracks for sale at extra cost.We installed a new fuel pump on the car.This car has an excellent history and a great foundation to make for a great realistic project. It is a true Barn Find!Our Vision for this One of Kind Mercedes-Benz is for it to become a regularly driven Mercedes and to be enjoyed for many many years as Dr. Buzlea and his wife once did.
