This VW has been sitting for 3 years, When parked it was a well running automobile. It currently runs and drives, it does need to be "sorted" to recover from the years of sitting. The heated seats work, the electric windows work, and if you can still find 3 cassette tapes, the little cassette storage drawers are in perfect shape! It needs a new convertible top, speedometer cable and the E- brake cable for starters. Also, the passenger side convertible handle lock down has broken off (see photo) Tires are also needed.. After those repairs, this could be a great 'restore as you drive" vehicle. It has some minor scrapes and dents, as shown in the pictures, as expected from a 22 year old car, but the body is very solid and serves as a good base. One of the best aspects of this car is it's originality, it is a non-modified stock VW with the exception of an after market stereo and exhaust. The exhaust is Techtonic stainless steel cat back exhaust..The car was stored inside until last winter, when storage was lost. When outside the car was always parked on a gravel pad (the same pad in the photographs. The photos make the paint look better than it actually is!! In summary, this is a no reserve auction starting at a price lower than the value of the parts. It does have 150K++ miles so there is wear on the original parts and interior as expected.
