Very Clean, totally original 2004 Land Rover Discovery II SE. The second and last year of the revised Discovery Series II that came out in 2003 and 2004 only, this year being the best one to own. It comes factory-equipped with the desirable CDL ( Central Differential-Lock) system. Completely stock, and all original DII. This is a two-owner DII that has lived in California its ENTIRE life. Therefore, there is absolutely NOT a single rust bubble nor corrosion blemish anywhere on this vehicle, as it would be expected from a California vehicle ( hard-pressed condition to find in any Discovery beyond the rocky mountains). This SE comes equipped with all the comforts and standard features and amenities except DVD and back up sensors. Heavier-grade roof bars ( only available in the 2004 models), factory Tow package, nice radial tires mounted on a nice, clean set of optional 18" HURRICANE alloy wheels ( the spare was removed for the photos; it is a clean matching HURRICANE wheel as well). NEVER altered, lifted, off-roaded or abused. It currently resides in Northern California. Stock 4.6L engine runs very well. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, the final 2004 DII model saw the epitome of the Land Rover design and revisions, and it is the one to have, specially with the factory-equipped CDL system ( Central Differential Lock), opposed to 03' models with the notorious catastrophic engine-failure issues. No overheating issues to contend with. Completely rebuilt top-end at around 102K, to include full cylinder-head machining, a valve job, push rods, rocker arms, head gaskets, head studs, new radiator, water pump and serpentine belt. In addition, it also had the rear brakes serviced, the Power steering pressure hoses replaced, the ignition coil packs, plug wires and spark plugs. Recently, a new alternator and battery were installed for added safety. This DII runs and drives very well. 107K original miles, relatively low for any Land Rover. No alterations or deviations from its completely original, stock condition. Automatic transmission shifts flawlessly into all gears. Low and High transfer cases work fine. Four-wheel Power disc brakes, Power steering, Power windows and Power seats (they both work). This is a super straight example of a classic DII that looks extremely sharp despite its vintage. The coachwork is in remarkable condition, with no dents, scratches or damage. Never in any accidents, wrecks or repaints from original. It is completely 100% rust-free as expected, and solid throughout. Its original Zambezi green ( more of a Silver tone) factory finish still shines very nicely and it is in excellent condition. All doors, panels, hood and trunk line up perfect. There is NO clearcoat fading, flaking or damage to the factory finish on the roof, hood or filler panel areas, common on many Rovers, specially East Coast examples where the elements and salted roads have taken their toll, and nearly impossible to repair! The original, rare ash gray leather upholstery is in better-than-average condition and has held up very well. Surprisingly, the headliner is firm and well attached in most areas ( a very common ailment on all Land Rovers). Extremely clean interior, door panels, factory carpeting and trunk area. NON SMOKER vehicle. This DII has a clear California title and it is currently registered through 2016. FREE AUTOCHECK report available on request. It has a strong 4.6L engine, very nice clean bodywork and clean original interior. It will make a nice completely-original Discovery, 2004 being the best year to own, with all the updates and body revisions. In addition, it has passed its stringent CA smog Emissions inspection with flying colors! Overall, a solid, clean original Land Rover and completely RUST FREE.
