Vehicle Detail
For your consideration- Honda CBR1000F with 19,874 miles. Bike runs very well. Starts up easily. Pulls strong from 3k to redline. New ZR rated Continental tires (installed June 2015) all hydraulics (clutch, front & rear brakes) flushed, bled and filled with Motorex Dot4 brake fluid (performed May 2015) Oil changed with Castrol Power RS 10w-50 synthetic oil & factory Honda filter (performed June 2015) overall bike is in excellent mechanical condition. Just passed Delaware inspection on April 24th 2015 and is tagged through April of 2017. This Summer bike was ridden on two long trips: down to Deals Gap in North Carolina and Montreal for Formula 1. Bike performed flawlessly the entire time; at one point (returning from Montreal) I was tucked in behind a BMW M5 only to look down to find I was doing 135mph, at which speed bike was totally stable and didn't feel in any way rushed. Specs according to motorcyclespecs.co.za are as follows:Power: 132hp / 96.2 kW @ 9500Torque: 76.7ft/lb / 104 Nm @ 8500Transmission: 6 speedSeat height: 30.7 inches / 780 mmFuel Capacity: 5.5 gallons / 21 litersStanding 1/4 mile: 10.7 sec @ 128mphTop Speed: 164.2mph / 264.2 km/h To the best of my knowledge the bike is totally stock save for the (rather raspy) Vance & Hines 4into1 pipe, K&N filter and re-jetting. I purchased this bike from the second owner who had put just 600 miles on the bike during his four years of ownership. From there bike was extensively serviced after which I've basically just ridden it, with really no mechanical problems whatsoever. This Spring I did some minor things as mentioned above (tires, oil/filter, brake fluids) and bike has been dead reliable. Only thing really "wrong" with it (other than cosmetic flaws which are mentioned elsewhere) is the cracked taillight lens which can be easily had for around $35 here on eBay. Though the last owner put very little miles on the bike, he considered himself an "Excellent painter" and decided to try to paint the front fairing and a lower leg cowlings. To put it bluntly what he did was total crap with lots of overspray and sloppy masking. Never really bothered me though as what he did was purely cosmetic and I purchased it to ride, not admire it. Plastics have just one real crack (a tiny one behind the left front indicator) that I know of and the left under seat cowling & seat cover have fuel damage from a leaky petcock (new petcock installed in 2014) but otherwise the bike is a simple spray job away from being a real jaw dropper, especially for her age. CONCERNING SHIPPING OF THE BIKE: I AM HAPPY TO TRAILER THE BIKE ANY REASONABLE DISTANCE FOR TOLLS BOTH WAYS AND 60ยข PER MILE ONE WAY. IF YOU'RE TOO FAR, I AM ALSO HAPPY TO DELIVER IT FOR THE SAME RATE TO ANY SHIPPER IN THE AREA; I AM ABOUT 35 MILS FROM PHILADELPHIA AND 75 MILES FROM BALTIMORE, THERE IS UNDOUBTEDLY NUMEROUS SHIPPING FIRMS IN EITHER OF THOSE CITIES IF NOT CLOSER. That said- If I am to deliver the bike, full payment (final bid amount plus agreed transportation cost) would need to be paid prior to delivery. Also, I would appreciate it if you would contact me prior to bidding if you would like to have the bike delivered so we're definitely on the same page and there's no doubts concerning the total delivery amount or to where I am willing to trailer it.
