Vehicle Detail

Model T Roadster - Ready for Summer Fun! This is a great little car with a very strong drivetrain, runs and drives wonderfully - good not only for parades but also just running around, going fishing, drives with the grandkids. If you're looking for an inexpensive hobby car that doesn't need anything to start enjoying right away, this is a great deal. If you want a car to actually use and drive, rather than only show and store, then this is the one for you. Tons of recent work done, too much to mention, but includes - new upholstery, floorboards/mat, glass, plugs, wiring, battery, starter, hoses, gas tank, tires, tubes. Beautifully refinished wheels. Tight front end, good clutches, strong motor starts instantly and stays cool even when pulling grades. The rings have been replaced and the cylinders honed. Good charging system and recently rebuilt electric starter. The light body makes this Model T the one to have if you want to actually drive your car and enjoy it. Comes with a set of reproduction top bows ($800 value) that I got with the car. I didn't put a top on because who drives one of these with the top up? Comes with the desirable Model T features of a water pump, electric starter and headlights, and generator (not all have these). I bought this car about two years ago from a man who inherited it as an unfinished restoration project from his dad who had died of cancer in California. It came with almost all the reproduction parts to finish the project, but had suffered while sitting outside under a tarp at the son's house. The main deterioration was with the paint/bodywork, which I would describe as amateurish - I have touched it up/buffed it out as best as I can, and it's now shiny, clean and presentable, but still has many flaws which I want the new owner to be aware of. The most serious of these are shown in the last four photos, and include some rust coming through at the lowest points of the body, some flaked-off paint (since touched up), flaking on one area of the hood (I'll leave that to the new owner to either leave alone or touch up himself), runs in the paint in places, etc. Bottom line: if you can tolerate some cosmetic imperfections, this is a great little car at a great price that needs nothing to enjoy immediately. Do not buy this car if you plan on nitpicking the body/paint - I'm being as honest about its condition and, if it were perfect, I would be asking thousands more. The car was titled as a 1919 in California, which placed a CA VIN tag on the frame. I'm listing the car as a 1925 because it obviously has a 1923-25 body, but the title will say "1919". All potential buyers are welcome and encouraged to see and drive the car in person before bidding. This vehicle is sold "as-is" and "where-is" and absolutely no warrantees are made concerning it or its condition, either expressed or implied. I have done my best to represent it accurately, including its flaws. It is overall a great little Model T and I'm sure will provide much enjoyment for the new owner.
