Vehicle Detail
Thank you for reviewing my 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 5.9L diesel 7 day NO RESERVE auction. At the end of this 7 day auction, the highest bidder will be the new owner of this very nice truck. This truck was purchased used in 7/2007 with 33,100 miles on it. It was previously owned by a meticulous local elderly gentleman that used the truck to pull his fifth wheel travel trailer to various locations across the country (only - exclusively). When the truck was not in use it was garage kept at his residence. I purchased the truck in 2007 to be a backup for my main truck at the time (2002 F350 crew cab diesel). The truck was mainly parked/staged at my residence until/if a need presented itself. I sold my 2002 F350 back in January of 2011 (eBay transaction #110626260140). From 2011 to date this truck has been my local transportation, mobile office, estimate vehicle, occasional backup snow plow vehicle and tow vehicle used in my lawn, landscape and snow management business. The truck also pulled a flatbed gooseneck flatbed trailer from time to time to relocate our unused seasonal equipment to a distant rural property under our control (100 miles round trip x once per 6 months +/-). As of today, my business needs have changed and no longer require the robust capability of this truck. This truck was never smoked in and was driven by me (exclusively). I drive all vehicles with the utmost respect and tend to drive like "an old man" that wants to make everything last forever. Here are a few vehicle specifics for your review. - 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT 4x4- Quad Cab Dual Rear Wheel- 8' Bed- Automatic transmission - Power windows, locks, etc.- Professionally installed remote starter (with key FOB)- Gooseneck bed hitch- Meyer Classic truck side snow plow mount and truck side wiring less controller (only/as pictured - included with sale)- Heated tow mirrors- Electric trailer brake controller- Heavy duty steering stabilizer (purchased from Geno's garage)- Fumoto engine oil change valve- Amsoil fluids through out- Mag-Hytec transmission oil pan (with drain plug)- Aluminum diamond plate bed rail protectors- Relocated stock fuel lift pump (inside bed rail - purchased from Geno's Garage)- Edge programmer (installed exclusively to monitor the engine - fuel pressure in particular)- Single piece heavy duty custom aluminum driveshaft (eliminates the problematic carrier bearing entirely)- Hardwired jump start kit (jumper cables included in sale)- Floor mounted Mag-Lite flashlight- Extended Cummins crankcase vent tube (located down front of engine - just below oil pan level)- Custom front of truck receiver hitch (mounted directly into Meyer snow plow truck side frame)- Husky floor liners (all carpeted areas - as pictured)- Westin running boards Here is the most recent service history for your review. 05/06/14 @ 115,035 - New front hubs, front rotors, tie rod ends, 4 ball joints and 2 spindles. (I noticed slight front wheel movement when jacked up at the time - had all work done as specified shortly after)08/02/14 @ 118,356 - New water pump, idler pulley, serpentine belt and complete coolant flush (precautionary replacement - not needed).09/16/14 @ 119,869 - New front brake calipers (loaded - with pads)11/19/14 @ 122,689 - New batteries installed (x 2)11/21/14 @ 122,700 - New Tires (x 6 - BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO LT235/85R16E) and front end alignment04/23/15 @ 125,388 - New stock carter fuel lift pump. My goal has always been to maintain a constant 13-15psi fuel pressure. 05/18/15 @ 126,253 - New alternator (precautionary replacement - not needed)06/16/15 @ 126,964 - Rebuilt engine starter solenoid (new contacts and plunger)06/24/15 @ 127,009 - New custom single piece aluminum heavy duty driveshaft and rear u-joints (Texas Driveshaft Specialist) This truck was always maintained and well cared for as a long term investment that would provide many years of reliable service. However, since I changed my business and no longer operate a somewhat distant off-season storage facility, this truck has become severely underutilized. Here are a few known issues that you will need to be aware of before possibly placing a bid on this truck. These issues (in my opinion) make this truck resemble a used truck and not a new model. - Both headlights are somewhat faded and should be replaced at some point. I do mostly daytime driving so was never really a concern for me.- Small ding located just below rear sliding window.- Small ding on the passenger side rear bumper.- Several small scratches in various places across the truck (may be considered somewhat normal in appearance - in my opinion)- The underside of the truck has some visible rust. I guess it could be perceived as "normal" for a 13 year old vehicle that has been operated here in northern Illinois (winter road salt is used here). Please be aware that this is of course a used truck and is not rust free.- The paint is basically 80% original. The only areas that have been re-painted over the years have been the tailgate, drivers side front fender and portions of the 4 doors (lower doors - below trim in particular). No accidents, just my attempt to improve the overall appearance of the truck and to eliminate any/all visible scratches and small outbreaks of visible surface rust.- A smaller 3" diameter exhaust tail pipe was recently installed/welded on to original exhaust system. A larger diameter complete exhaust system (4"+) will probably serve the truck/engine well.- The rear disk brakes have not been serviced in quite a while. All is ok, but may require service in the very near future. The truck is located in Arlington Heights, IL. 60005 and is available for scheduled on-site inspection, test drives, etc. before any/all bids are placed. I have free and clear title in hand. Cash or certified funds (may need additional time for funds to clear/bank verification) less applicable paypal deposit. ** Please Note: I will include a used Meyer CP8.5 snow plow (with E60 hydraulic pump, lift frame/lights and in-cab controller) at no additional charge if the final purchase price goes beyond $18,001.00 at time of auction close. Other wise I can add the specified removable Meyer snow plow equipment for an additional $1,500.00 if so desired. ** Once again, thank you for looking at my NO RESERVE auction and please be sure to let me know if I can answer any questions you may have. Joe On Aug-21-15 at 16:58:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional REVISED cosmetic truck detail as of Friday 8/21/15 @ 6:00pmI'm not sure how I missed this, but while removing a few final personal belongings from the truck an hour ago I noticed a small hairline crack in the front cosmetic bezel located across the front face of dashboard. Rest assured, the main dashboard is perfectly fine, but the cosmetic trim piece (front bezel - part around gauges, switches, vents, etc.) is cracked at the very top. It may have always been there, but I think the guys at the car wash may have pressed atop the piece for whatever reason last week and caused the crack. Anyway, I will deduct $300.00 (or value of suitable replacement part) from the total truck sale price of any current bidder (on the current bid list from the start of the auction until this point only). If you are a new bidder and contemplating placing a bid on this truck, please make note of this cosmetic bezel crack when determining the overall perceived value and amount of you wish to bid/offer. Feel free to email me with any questions, additional pictures, etc.. Thank you for the opportunity and I apologize for any inconvenience this notice may have caused. - Joe On Aug-22-15 at 18:21:57 PDT, seller added the following information: ** ADDITIONAL PARTS INCLUDED WITH THIS SALE ** After doing a bit of cleaning and organization, I have located several parts that will be included with this truck sale (regardless of final sale price). Please find the list of additional parts located just below for your review. 2 used BF Goodrich tires (LT235/85R16E). These two tires were removed and saved when the 6 new tires were installed late last year. They have between 40-50% tread life left and match the current tires exactly. Will make nice spares incase of an emergency, etc.Multiple fuel filters.Transmission filter and pan gasket'New OEM Mopar steering damper (in box - just never needed to install it)Old two piece stock rear driveshaft. Since the new heavy duty driveshaft was installed, I have no reason to keep this shaft. Please feel free to take it or leave it when you come by to pick up the truck.
