This is an actual American Motors Jeep manufactured before Chrysler took-over. I was all set to restore this Jeep. However, I am being deployed again this fall. So, the Jeep has to go since I do not have adequate storage space. This is the second time this is up for auction due to a winning bidder not paying. Do not bid if you do not intend to pay for the vehicle. Great Jeep for hunting or perfect for trips to the lake or beach. The Good: New windshield New shocks New sway bars New drag link New steering-arm New upper and lower ball joints The motor is the original 258 cid/4.2 Inline-6 Automatic transmission shifts crisp and tight with no operating issues 4-wheel drive works great and shifts in and out easily Paint, the motor, and tranny are the original 4" Rough Country lift, Rocky Top Suspension shackles Sorry, there is no hard-top, no hard full-doors, no bikini top, no owner’s manual (this can be found online). Steel half-doors are in great shape. Best Top brand soft-top is in good condition, all windows are clear The key-locking hood does lock All 5 Tires have good tread, 32x11.50x15s, aluminum after-market wheels including the spare Interior is nice and original. The passenger and rear seats are in great condition The carpet is like new Dashboard is clean with no cracks Gauges all function as they should including the analog clock Sony detachable-face CD player with Sound bar speakers above driver and passenger sides. The sound is clear and both speakers work great The Bad: The hood is faded (NO RUST) and will need re-painting Equipped with Air-Conditioning but needs Freon boost and charge Has Center Console.
