Vehicle Detail

Here is a really nice example of a 1967 Nova SS. It is a true 118, factory 4-speed car. Always turns heads, get's thumbs up and lot's of attention. Some highlights: -Very nice driving car, has good power and responds well. -Healthy 327 V8 engine with correct snowflake intake. Block has casting # 3791362, casting date of A-19-7 and #’s stamped are V0303ZA. Heads are different that the original camel hump heads and the exhaust manifold was swapped by prior owners to headers. -12-bolt posi rear end -Muncie 4-speed transmission -Most of the interior is original (headliner and door panels was replaced by previous owners); some minor wear on the driver's carpet side and on the driver's outboard seat back welting -Originally a butternut yellow car, now a metallic pewter (similar to GM's drift sand beige metallic), painted in the 1990's; the paint shows very well but has a few minor flaws -Very nice SS truck panel; some pitting but still a very nice original compared to others out there. -Car has won multiple awards, including awards from Ironstone Concours D’Elegance (Award of Merit) and Pismo Beach Classic reported by the previous owner; 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 People’s 25 Award from NNN West Coast Mini-Nats/NCN Reunion -No evidence of panel replacement or other accidents. There was a small amount of surface flash rust was found under the passenger front carpet and treated with POR 15 (see pics) -Dual snorkel air cleaner, in the L-79 style, looks very nice in the engine bay (note that this is NOT an L79 car, nor is the air cleaner technically correct for the year/engine) VIN: 11837W169886 Trim Tag Info: 03C 4 67-11837WRN 7022 780 Y-Y W2L5Y 1st Line decodes to: March (03) Manufacture date, third week (C), Black interior sheet metal (4) 2nd line decode to: year: 1967 (67), Chevrolet (1), Chevy II Nova SS, V8 (18), Willow Run, MI Assembly Plant (WRN), Sequence # 7022 3rd Line decodes to: Black buckets (780), Butternut Yellow (Y-Y) 4th Line decodes to: A02 Tinted Glass (W), 4 Speed Transmission (L), A49 Deluxe seat belts (Y) Block Info Casting #’s: 3791362; A-19-7 Stamped #: V0303ZA Block is likely the original to the car and has a recessed oil filter boss. -Car is always stored inside -Have a tattered copy of the broadcast sheet found in the car -In-dash clock not working -CA YOM correct black plates -Steel wheels with poverty caps and red-line tires; spare is also a redline tire -Comes with an extra set of 14” rally rims with trim rings and center caps -Drum brakes all-around; stops very well. -Previous owner replaced clutch and rear diff to posi unit (old diff will be included) -Dual snorkel air cleaner, in the L-79 style looks very nice in the engine bay (note that this is NOT an L79 car, nor is the air cleaner technically correct for the year/engine) -Sunpro 1.5” volt and mechanical temp/oil gauges -Autometer Street Tach -Reggie Jackson owned the car from 1980’s (89 from the date on the title) to 1996, sold to someone in Arizona, and then sold back to California in approximately 1997 to the last owner. I purchased it in 2010. Things I have done to the car since 2010: -Installed a flex fan and radiator shroud to improve cooling, currently using a 195* t-stat -Had the original AM radio redone by Tayman Electric to a functional AM/FM radio with aux input, station selector buttons still work -Installed a 1-wire Powermaster alternator; stock voltage regulator still present in the engine bay for appearances (old alternator included) -Installed an H-pipe to balance the exhaust -General maintenance, recent alignment, etc.; Only driven about 1,800 miles since I picked up the car in 2010 Extras -Car Cover -4 14” Rally Wheels -Previous Rear Diff & Alt Contact me thought the contact seller link above if you have any questions or want additional pictures/details; I encourage interested parties to inspect the car in person.
