Vehicle Detail

1960 Chevrolet El Camino, Very hard to find, with only around 14,000 produced, it was the lowest production for any of the early El Camino’s. I purchased it with the intent of doing a frame-off restoration, but with limited time and space, I’ve decided to sell this great project. Looking at the trim tag, it was a V-8 car, and was originally Roman Red (973 B). It now has what I believe is a 1966 327 (F0903HCH), it runs strong, and has a 3-speed transmission with a floor shifter, that could use some fine adjustment. I was planning on adding an automatic, and will include an automatic column and Impala steering wheel. It has had some amateur restoration done, the floors have been replaced with a proper replacement panel, the doors are solid, as is the tailgate. There are a few small holes in the bed floor, but is in much better shape than most. It has new (2 months old) aluminized dual exhaust. Fuel line, and several brake lines have also been replaced, the brakes need adjusted, and a final bleed on the system. It does run, and drive, but I would recommend that it be trailered, mainly because it has been sitting in a garage for several years. The person I bought it from had owned it since 1987, and started the restoration; it has sat in my garage since purchasing. It’s an ideal candidate for a restoration, and based on Hagerty valuations, and what others are asking for completed 60 El Camino’s, it would be well worth the investment. The wipers, and rear tail lights are not currently functional, I have not investigated those issues. Has several new parts on front-end, and the rear trailing arm bushings have been replaced. Has a new radiator, and fuel pump. I believe the rear quarters have been replaced, and they will need some additional body work. The rear of the frame has a patch on the side, which is very common on X-frame cars. The bed stainless if all there and it’s very rare to find them without a dozen holes drilled for a tonneau cover. The only missing trim is the passenger side fin molding. Clean title in hand. Vehicle is being sold As-Is with no warranty and is the buyers responsibility to check vehicle prior to bidding. It is for sale locally, so I have the right to end the auction early. If you have questions, you can call my cell at (913)-754-6059. A $500 deposit is required from the winning bidder, due electronically via PayPal within 24 hours after the auction ends, to hold the vehicle. I do not accept PayPal for payments over $500. I will not be accepting trades. Please bid responsibly by having any required financing in place before committing to purchase the vehicle as full payment is due within 7 days of auction end via cash or certified bank check (drawn on a major US bank). I can hold the vehicle for 15 days at no charge to the winning bidder. Bidders with zero feedback will have their bids canceled, unless you contact me in advance of bidding. Buyer must arrange shipping. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK.
