Up for bids is my 1962 Austin Healey Sprite Mark 2 Roadster. It is upgraded to a 1098 CC engine and front disc brakes. I have owned the car for the past 11 years, but in the last 18 months, have gone thru the car to ensure safety and reliability. It runs very well, holds 50 lbs. oil pressure at 160 degrees at 950 RPMs. I doesn't overheat or smoke. The transmission shifts smoothly, doesn't make unusual noises or pop out of gear. All lights work, directional signals, horn, heater blower, windshield wipers all work. All gauges work (tach is a bit "bouncey"). The paint is good and the interior is very nice, with no rips, tears , worn areas or pulled seams. New carpet. Tires are new and the hubcaps are near perfect. Below is a list of all new parts installed in the last 18 months: Rebuilt carbs Major engine tune-up New SU fuel pump New fuel tank Rebuilt starter New battery New rear brakes cylinders and shoes New front rotors and pads All new brake hoses NOS front shocks (rear shocks are good) New front end bushings New tie rod ends New rear trailing arms New clutch New clutch hydraulics New master cylinder New carpet set New front bumper New exhaust system New belts, hoses, filters, etc. New tonneau cover New top The body had very little rust, which was cut out and new metal welded in. The windshield is very good as are the side curtains (new seals). I have a clear Maryland title, in my name. While this is not a total restoration, it is a very nice, good running and driving Sprite. The only things you my wish to address are replate/replace the rear bumper and fit the correct windshield washer bottle (and yes, it does drip oil). The odometer shows 83,480 miles and the title states 86,437, but I have no way of knowing which is correct. So assume correct mileage is unknown. This is a no reserve, no return auction. There are no warranties, expressed or implied. Inspections are strongly encouraged prior to end of auction. Car and title will not be released until all funds clear my bank. Transportation costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer. A $500.00 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end, with full payment within 7 days of auction end.
