I purchased this bike in 2006. It has been kept indoors ever since. The bad: The front brake master cylinder needs rebuilding(I've seen rebuild kits on Ebay for about $40.00), front brake light switch not functioning, horn not working. The seat has about 4" of black tape on right upper seam midway front to back, the tape has been in place since purchased, holding well. The electric starter has not worked since I purchased the bike. Note: It does make a click noise when the starter button is pushed. Age: There are some small rust spots on rims and fenders, I have cleaned them up pretty well. The bike is in good condition for a '77. The Good: Cleaned and rebuilt carbs, fuel lines, points and condensers, plugs. Has a good battery. The fenders were removed, rusty undersides were cleaned and painted silver. The tail light assembly undersides were cleaned and painted black. The tank has been Properly KREEMED. Tank and Side covers have been painted Candy Blue. I also painted the center stand and swing arm Black basecoat/clearcoat. Many other parts have been painted and aluminum polished. It now has new chrome rear shocks. New front tire and tube. New gas cap and pod air filters. All lights work( except the previously mentioned front brake light). Starts in a couple of kicks.
