Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my Grandfathers all original, un-restored, 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door hardtop coupe with the 289 Special V8 4.7 liter engine, with an automatic transmission that he bought new off the showroom floor in 64 from Norwood auto sales in Ohio. The car has a clear title in my name. Everything on the car is original except for the Crager rims that cost $264.99 each. I have the original rims to the car as well. The car was checked out by a local mechanic and had the carburetor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and distributor condenser replaced. The Fairlane still has the original 1964 Ohio license plates, radio and original spare tire. The interior is all in good shape with no rips or tears but does show some wear from getting in and out over the years. The headliner is in great shape as well. The car does have power steering, heat, and vent air and full car cover. Door handles, locks, windows all work as they should. Everything on the car works as it should as far as I know. The outside of the car is 8 out of 10. The paint is the original paint and looks beautiful but does have some nicks and blemishes and small scratches here and there that aren't visible in the pictures. All chrome is in great shape and there is no rust anywhere on the car. The tires are newer and in good shape with plenty of tread. Overall the Fairlane is a true beauty and thankfully kept in its original form for all of these years. My grandfather has taken it to many car shows back in the day and took it out on the weekends. Other than that and farther into his old age he hardly drove her. Last December before he passed he had the car appraised for $18,500.00. Im just interested in getting what the car is worth so there will be no reserve on this auction. The buyer will be responsible for shipment or pickup of the car. She will be sold as is, in good condition. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me or message me through ebay. My email is Hdiscus7@gmail.com. Offers are welcome. The car is located in Knoxville, Tn. Please bid with confidence and happy bidding!
