Please find a 2000 Ford Excursion 4x4 V10 gas engine for sale via 7 day NO RESERVE auction. The highest bidder at the end of this auction will be the new owner of this vehicle. I purchased this truck a few years ago (July 2013) from a local gentleman with the intent of making this my dedicated family vacation "road trip" vehicle. It had 94,196 miles on it at the time of my purchase and today has 97,200 miles (3,000 +/- miles in 2 years). The truck has only been used to run local errands, etc. over the past few years. These local trips were purposely used to start the engine, cycle the fluids, brakes, etc. since family road trip vacations never materialized. The truck starts instantly and sounds very smooth. The interior looks good for it's age and is certainly respectable for a family, etc. Here are a few vehicle specifics for your review. - 2000 Ford Excursion Limited 4x4- V10 Gas engine- Fumoto engine oil change valve installed (quick easy draining of used engine oil with no tools required)- Amsoil engine oil (5W-20) and extended interval oil filter just installed (days ago)- 97,200 current miles- Keyless entry- Telescoping side view tow mirrors- Overhead entertainment center (DVD player, etc.)- Multi-disc CD player- Electric trailer brake controller (Tekonsha Prodigy P2)- 1 Key with transmitter included with sale Here are a few issues (repairs needed) that I have noticed that should be taken care of in the very near future for the best safest experience possible. - Need to replace the problematic stock OEM 4x4 front wheel hubs/wheel bearings (4x4 works now as-is, but the hubs cannot be manually turned at this point to unlock/disengage). - ABS light currently lit on dash. These codes comes up #C1158 (left front speed sensor coherency malfunction), #C1233 (wheel speed left front input signal missing) , #C1155 (left front speed sensor input circuit malfunction) when I checked at the time of this listing. These codes are new (past week) and I believe them to be linked to a sticking front brake caliper and/or problematic front hub(s). - Need new front axle wheel seals (slight leakage noticed just below passenger side front axle/hub only)- Needs brake service (or at the very least caliper slide pin lubrication and full inspection - go from there)- Need to replace the front axle bump stops (above front leaf springs-below frame). They are missing and were so when I purchased the truck. A set of new Timbren front axle bump stops/supports will be included with this sale. I purchased them a few years ago and have not had the time to install them.- The metal supports running below both running boards (length wise) has rusted to the point of sag when stepped upon (only). The previous owner added steel bar below the running boards to further strengthen/stiffen them. Ok (in appearance), but not 100% structurally.- Front sway bar bushings appear to be worn and should probably be replaced in the very near future.- All 4 aluminum wheels show oxidation and need to be refinished (if so desired). I have contacted a local wheel restoration professional (Wheel America - Elk Grove Village, IL) and was quoted $130.00 per wheel to restore to new condition.- Needs 4 new tires (current tires have decent tread remaining and run down the road just fine, but they are certainly visually dry rotted to the point of visible side wall cracking, etc.). - The underside of the truck has it's fair share of visible surface rust. I guess it could be perceived as "normal" for a 15 year old vehicle that has been operated here in northern Illinois (winter road salt is used here), but please be aware that this is of course a used truck and is not rust free. The truck is located in Arlington Heights, IL. 60005 and is available for scheduled on-site inspection, test drives, etc. before any/all bids are placed. I have free and clear title in hand. Cash payment in full (less applicable paypal deposit) is preferred at time of vehicle pick-up.
