NO RESERVE...HIGH BIDDER TAKES IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a 1978 VW Beetle convertible for sale. Rare Champagne Edition. Clean, clear, Florida title, and bill of sale will be provided. The car is a project, but has a lot of good. The odometer shows 49, 273, the title is marked exempt, so I'm not sure of the actual mileage. The car has rust. The floorpans are shot, the rails running down the floorpans are shot. There is rust at the bottoms of the doors, a little at the bottom edge of the hood and trunk. I don't see any rust where the suspension hooks up to the chassis, but please understand you will be dealing with some rust. The body is extremely straight, no dents or dings at all. The paint is nice and shiny. The car has been sitting for a couple of years. The gas is stale. It does start, then sputters and dies. It will at minimum need a complete fuel system cleanout. The brakes work, but the pedal sticks, and you have to pull it up with your foot. I have a new master cylinder for it, not installed. The interior is decent, seats are dirty but no rips, dash has a couple small cracks. The top is the wrong color and they didn't put the window in it, I have the original glass window that also goes with the car. It needs a headliner also and window regulator work. It has aftermarket step plates. It will need a new exhaust. It has the original sport wheels and some chrome aftermarket caps if you like the bling or you can just toss them and go factory. The first two pictures show it both ways. I have a new floorpan(not sure which, I think drivers side), master cylinder, door handle that go with car. From what I understand, there were only 1000 of the these champagnes made in 1978. That's about all I can think of, probably a bunch more things I don't remember or know about. Keep in mnd, the car's old, has rust, hasn't been used in 2 years, it will need work/restoration. . If you have any questions on something I didn't cover, don't be shy. If you are local and want to come see it before bidding, let me know and we can arrange that. No whining after the fact. Please see my other auctions for more interesting items. Thanks, any questions, feel free. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, for any reason. This car must be picked up from my home, Boynton Beach 33472. Buyer to pay shipping and handling charges. PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 14 DAYS OF AUCTION END DATE. If you are out of state and need more than the two weeks to come get it, let me know BEFORE you bid, we can work something out.
