1970 Chevy Monte Carlo (Real Deal) SS 454 Two Door Hardtop (Great Rare Project)Original Matching Number 454 LS5, Motor will start. Still has the original prefix on the passenger side pad just bellow the head as well as the partial vin number down by the oil filter that matches the vin on the dash. I verified this information myself. Factory turbo 400, I verified the partial vin on the transmission that also matches the vin on the dash. The SS 454 still has the Factory compressor brackets with the lines on the drivers side wheel well (but is missing the compressor). The Monte Carlo also still has the self leveling proportioning valve up above the rear end towards the passenger side, with air shocks and you can see in the detailed posted pictures. Still has the 12 Bolt rear end with rear sway bar and box A-arms, Power Steering, Power front disc brakes, Factory A/C. Body Condition: Left and Right front fenders down low are scaly with some small rust holes. Both the left and right side doors seem to be in good shape with no rust. Both lower wheel well lips have rust along with the lower wheel well tubs in the same area. The Lower rear roof around the rear window does have some rust holes on both sides caused by the original Vinyl Top. The Rear trunk pan looks to be in good shape. The Floors look to be in good shape and the frame has some light surface rust. The hood does have some minor pin holes in a couple different areas along with the left and right light bezels. Overall the complete body has some minor dents and dings in different areas but can easily be repaired. Interior Condition: The Original saddle interior is in pretty worn condition that needs to be restored. Does have its factory bucket seats with original center console and factory horseshoe shifter, original wood grain cluster with factory radio, SS Steering Wheel, Factory power door locks. Overall the interior is complete. I do also have the original Monte Carlo wood grain steering wheel insert that you can see in the pictures. All the glass is complete. All the stainless and chrome is in fair shape and some of it is rough. I do have the original Stainless SS 454 fender badges in great shape. I have the spare and extra hub caps. You can see all of this in the detailed posted pictures. These 1970 SS 454 Monte Carlo's were a very low production built car and extremely rare. This is a great project / investment to restore. Been in storage for many years. Like previously mentioned the car will start with some gas down the carburetor. Clean Title in Hand.
