Vehicle Detail

.*1966* Porsche 912. Metal fender flares (if you do not like flares at all, this car is not for you). If you do a search of what these look like when painted race circuit color schemes & know how functional flares are in that arena, (wider racing tires & fast cornering) you maybe in the right place & respect the need for these customs. Good guts metal, glass, trims, inners/outers. INTERIOR: headliner, seats & surrounds are fixable/usable in the condition they are, if budget requires.(just mostly need "cleaning". The dash is perfect with no cracks. BODY: NO RUST @ BOTTOM OF DOORS OR DOOR SKINS; NO RUST-AROUND ANY WINDOW OR GLASS; NO RUST IN TRUNK; NO RUST ON 95 TO 97% OF THE ROCKERS(INNER OR OUTER)//FLOOR PAN; SEAMS, ETC; NO RUST ON TRUNK OR ENGINE LIDS; NO RUST COWL & BACK ENGINE WALL; NO RUST AT FRONT END SUSPENSION CONNECTING POINTS, & THE BEAT GOES ON. Some dings & paint flaws, but 97% rust FREE (that means small *paint pops, but no holes, or if any only pinholes). NO holes in floors or rockers. Clean smooth NO RUST/ding free roof & rain drains/channels/gutters. The original color was Irish Green. GLASS: Perfect. GLASS SEALS: still doing a GOOD job. STAINLESS TRIM: almost perfect. These are the THREE things you don't want to have to fool with later, if you can avoid it (or most any time in the revamp process)! Finding any of these parts in any condition, & as good as these, is a chore. MOTOR: DOES NOT RUN! It now turns with much resistance. BEFORE I did the "first" start attempt, the engine was easily turning many times via the starter when I was trying to substantiate that there was spark, compression & gas feed. When all was ready, it did start only one time. Then, it stopped with a slow down (as if it ran out of gas) & never started again. Consider a rebuild necessary, or if your lucky, maybe it is just the rings/pistons are grabbing due to not enough oil got into the cylinders ( an oil cooler coil was in-line & may have been clogged ). If I wanted to bluff buyers, I could simply say motor turns, & I haven't tried to start it. You are getting the tough reality in your face so I don't have to hear a complaint later. This Porsche is STILL worth my price. NEW PARTS INSTALLED: Starter; gas lines; electric fuel pump; accelorator pedal link connector; gas tank additives (moisture inhibitor & stabilizer); gas filler hose & clamps; battery terminal ends; engine compartment door hold up cylinder. The gas tank was removed (since these pictures), cleaned, checked; re-installed. Gas was pumping out of each carburetor. Some of the brake parts look recent. Brakes do not work due to the master cylinder seems bad. The clutch does grab & hold in all gear positions. TITLE/PAPERWORK: BOTH number plates are in original places/original rivits. Clear legal transferrable registration with no brandings. PAYMENTS, ETCETERA: The $500 Deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. Deposit can be through PayPal, BUT balance in full must be cash, cashiers check (checks take 3 days to a week to clear sometimes), or wire transfer (preferred). No PayPal for balance payment! 904-881-3495 The motor number is 1284663, a *1968 912 motor; See website 356a.com This is an "AS IS" SALE. Pictures of the registration & bill of sale example are available (has correct vehicle ID number) HAS ALL FOUR ORIGINAL PORSCHE HUBCAPS. I LIKE NO RUST DID I SAY NO RUST; OR AT LEAST ALMOST NO RUST. On Jul-19-15 at 07:24:34 PDT, seller added the following information: Hard of hearing buyers: U may find a running project, or they state motor turns, but not run. Plan a rebuild anyway. This "project" does NOT need glass, trim, carbs, interior unless total restore is in plan, gas tank, small initial start parts, lids, dash pad, pop-out windows(all parts in), fenders, exhaust (now has Farrari style), & NOT need floor/rockers/front steering-suspension integrity work, etc. MOST projects need all of this peripheral parts/repair/weld madness besides needing rebuild of a bad, "if running" motor. Its yours if you pay for it. Its mine if not. Keep my number so if you do not see it on Ebay, but have second thought & $12,499, it can be yours. Otherwise, add some $$$$$ & buy the ready-get-set-go instead of mine!On Jul-20-15 at 07:50:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Clarity-repeat-ownership documents: This 1966 Porsche 912 has the LEGAL-Transferable United States -correct vehicle ID state registration ready for a buyers ownership name to be placed upon it. Vehicle ID# is on registration same as it is on BOTH vehicle identification metal factory plate in their original factory mounted locations ( 1 in trunk *pictured in listing*, & 1 on driver door post *picture available* ). Original FACTORY mounting rivits still hold them in place. Call if confusion persists, or have questions (no calls for price reductions; none available). You could do nothing to this car, stick it in a storage facility for 5 years & most likely it will be worth all of $12,500 & pay for the storage fees to boot. So, you have your initial cost & the tangible toy (maybe even more financial & owner appreciation). On Jul-21-15 at 06:58:31 PDT, seller added the following information: More clarification: The FAN HOUSING on motor is an aftermarket add on for performance operation forcing cooling air faster "downdraft" effect/assist. The original type was designed for cruising & average driver acceleration.
