Vehicle Detail
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 Deluxe 2 door post coupe. This car is an all original barn find that has been gone through and is a driver. It still has its factory 307 sbc and the 2 speed powerglide. The car runs and drives fine, but needs a complete restoration. It had sat for many years before I got it and I installed a new gas tank, straps, sending unit, fuel pump, etc to make it run. I Installed headers, dual exhaust, and went through the drum brakes, etc to make it a driver. This car is a rare car to find with a factory v8, and would make a great SS clone because it's the only year Chevy make a SS post car. Most of what you see is the original Glacier Blue paint. The car had one cheap paint job many years ago that had mostly faded off, and most of the rest came off when I pressure washed the car. The car has the typical Chevelle rust, but is much better in some areas than your usual. With this showing it's original paint you know exactly what you're getting, not a car with a ton of bondo in it. The car will only need both lower quarters (which come with the car), it also has only one small rust hole in the bottom of the drivers door. The fenders are pretty much wasted, but the car will come with 2 usable OEM fenders(a 69 one that has had a lower patch and a 68 fender that needs a lower patch and marker light changed to a 69) The floors were cut out and replaced with correct floor pans, but they still need to be finished welded in. The trunk floor is fairly solid, but still has some small holes in it.I painted the trunk floor on both sides with por15 when I replaced the gas tank. The rockers are solid, the cowl area is solid, the frame is solid, and the roof is solid. It has a little rust on the bottom of the rear window, and a small area of rust on the drip rail of the trunk lid. It has much of the original 300 deluxe interior, but it is in pretty poor shape and will all need replaced. The car still has it's original drum brakes and 10 bolt rear. The car has newer air shocks on the rear and has early 70's z28/ss wheels on it, with decent tires. Car is located in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and buyers are welcome to check out the car before the auction ends. Car is for sale locally, so auction may end at any time.
