1979 Chevrolet Corvette L82 with M21 4 speed This very nice Corvette is an all original 30K original mile survivor. Even the exhaust and mufflers are GM factory installed 1979 originals to the car and are in great condition. I also have the original tires that came on it from the factory when it was brand new. The paint and interior are all original and look great. It is all numbers matching and I have the original build sheet for it. It looks, runs and drives great and has always been garaged and covered. See Video at the end of this description. Many Corvettes were built in 1979, in fact it was the most popular year ever in Corvette production! However, it was the last year you could get an L82 High Performance Engine option mated with an M21 close ratio 4 speed transmission. Only a handful of buyers ordered that combination in ‘79 not knowing it was the last year it could be had. This Corvette was one of those few cars! It is also factory optioned with working A/C, power windows, power locks, power steering, power brakes, Gymkhana suspension, Leather seating, tilt/tele steering, tinted glass, a 3.70 axle, rear defog, AM-FM 8 track, 15” aluminum wheels, floor mats and more. It is original factory 72L Corvette Red with a Black leather interior. Pampered for 36 years this beautiful car has remained unrestored and original. If you appreciate a garage kept well taken care of very nice original car that has a bit of patina that a nice original 36 year old Corvette will typically have then you are going to love this car! The original factory Acrylic Lacquer paint has started to show some natural checking and some spider webbing that original factory lacquer paint will do after many years but it still holds a very nice shine. The interior is beautiful and original and shows very little wear and the underside is very clean showing only some evidence of nice summer day driving. This is a non smoking car and it has never been driven in the winter. Also I have the original smog air pump, brackets and belt that were taken off years ago and saved in a box. Destined to be a collector car this rare L82 4 speed Corvette has been treated very well over the years and now has become available. If you are thinking of buying a cheaper higher mileage worn out Corvette to restore you might want to think twice. When you are all done working on something like that YEARS from now you will have way more money into it than I'm even asking for this very nice original car that you can jump into and drive and show today. You can restore a car many times over but they are only original once! This is an extremely nice original car!
