Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1973 Honda ST 90. This bike runs and rides perfect, and looks awesome too. Low, under 4000 miles. Everything works, and it is ready for road, trail, or campground use. The tires are brand new bridgestones with perfect tread. These were the most expensive and highest quality tires available for this bike. When they were replaced, the brakes and wheel bearings were inspected and found to be in great shape. The paint is very nearly perfect on the body, and the engine and muffler look great too. Note that the paint is not sun faded along the top of the frame (see 3rd picture). It looks a bit like that from the way the sun was hitting it in some of the other pictures. There is some paint chipping on the muffler heat shield. The chrome is shiny all over the bike, but the fenders have a bit of pitting on them. As I said, they still shine though. Rims look good, as do the handle bars and controls. Mechanically, The bike starts 1st kick, and it is very easy to do. It runs near silently at idle with no abnormal valve noise whatsoever. The semi auto transmission shifts seamlessly and does not bog down or slip on hills, like many do. Chain and sprocket are good. I have owned many similar small hondas (CT70, z50, CT90, SL70, etc) and I've never seen one that rides so much like a new bike. The fueling is perfect, there are no stumbles from the carburetor, no oil burning at all, all the controls are crisp. It literally feels like riding on a new bike more so than any of these late 60's/70's hondas I have ever seen. (Also if you are considering buying a CT 70, this bike has the same look, but pulls much harder than even a modified one, and is slightly larger, easier to be ridden by an adult. It is all around a much better bike than any of the ct70's I've ever owned) Boring Legal and Sales Stuff This bike is being sold with a bill of sale and a NH Registration, signed over to the buyer. The signed over registration acts as a title and allows it to be registered in most if not all states. (check with your DMV first, I know it is fine for MA, CT, RI, NY, Montana. Never ran in to a state where this didn't work. Many states do not even require a title on a bike this old/small.) I know what this bike is worth, and have set a reserve that is very fair. Buyer is responsible for shipping, although I will help drain fluids/ prepare the bike for shipping. If you have any further questions, or would like to speak over the phone about the bike, or are local and would like to see it in person, don't hesitate to contact me. I reserve the right to end the auction early for a fair offer, as the bike is also for sale locally. In this case, I will notify all who have bid on the bike for the oppertunity to make a better offer. $250 Paypal deposit due ASAP after winning the auction. Acceptable forms of payment are cash in person, and Paypal. After the auction ends, I can hold the bike (indoor storage) for some time, as long as you intend to pick it up in a reasonable amount of time. International bidders welcome, as long as your payment is legit and I don't personally have to pay any customs fees as the bike is shipped away. Bike sold as is, no warranty. Keeping in mind that the bike is 40+ years old, and odds are that someone has replaced something at some point. I have not done any restoring or replacing of parts.-The battery is recent and holds a charge well-There are no oil or gas leaks of any kind, even when the petcock is left in the on position Boring Legal and Sales Stuff This bike is being sold with a bill of sale and a NH Registration, signed over to the buyer.
