Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1962 Dodge A 100 truck. This truck is your typical Texas barn find, only problem it was beside the barn not in it. I am not sure how long it sat out, but it has been at least 15 years that I know of. There is rust in the rear panel and in the sides of the bed panels. The floor pans look pretty decent. It has the old Dodge slant 6 and 3 on the tree. We got the truck started and even drove it around for little bit one afternoon. I have a video of it driving down the street but cant figure out to load it here. The engine sounds oretty good. There is a lifter that rattles and the engine smokes quite a bit. The odometer shows 48912. The brakes do not work. They will need a total rebuild. Checked the emergency brake. It pulled up tight and set. When we started the truck and drove it, we opened up the master cylinder. There was no fluid in it, but the bottom was full of sludge. We did not put fluid in it and take a chance on pushing trash down into the lines. That is why I stated that the brake system would need rebuilt. I have no idea what condition the linings and internals would be in. The transmission shifts good and the rear end seems fine. I do have a clear Texas title in my business partners name. We had this truck listed on here a couple of months ago, but there was a mix up with getting the title from the estate, We finally got that all straightened out and do have the title in hand now, The truck is located about 50 miles east of Amarillo. it must be paid for in full before it goes on a trailer. If you come to pick up the truck and feel that I mis-represented it in any way I will refund your money in full. Ask any questions you have and I will get you an answer asap. I have several pics of the underneath of the truck, but they were taken laying on the ground and trying to shoot up under it. The pics are fairly clear, but hard to tell what you are looking at. if want to see them, just shoot me an email and I will forward them. Thanks for looking.
