1969 AMC Ambassador SST with 16,000 original miles, still wearing its original paint minus the primered panels, also have original window sticker, and other paperwork and i will post pics when I find them. This was a 343 car but the engine was pulled and put in a Javelin, the car now has a good running 290 from a 68 Ambassador. Still has the factory Posi rear, good exhaust, nice interior,needs carpet, motor is clean. The engine is hooked up and runs good but the car is not ready for the road yet, this is a project. The car is pretty much complete, missing the wiper motor, gas pedal, and the shaft that connects steering column to steering box BUT I have have all those parts from a 68 Ambassador donor car, if you want to make them work you can have them. I have all 4 of the original hub caps in good condition and 3 of the original 14'' steel wheels, all go with the car. I also have a nice complete set of extra doors from the 68, you can take those if you like as well. The car has a clear Maryland title signed off by previous owner, title verifies mileage of car is original and not turned over. This would be a good solid project car or a great donor car for your AMC project. If you have any questions or need a specific pic let me know. On Jun-22-15 at 04:03:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I haven't been able to locate the window sticker, owners manual, etc. I know I have them somewhere, the car was bought new from a Rambler dealer in Ohio. I do have clear title on hand. If I find the other documents I will post pic and update, if not, I will mail them to to new owner if I find them. Please ask all questions before bidding ! The car has dents and dings, and very minor rust, mainly in the bottom of quarter panel behind rear door. The story is previous owner pulled the original 343 engine for a javelin project, the rest of the car was going to go to scrap !!! I saved the car and found a good running driving 68 Ambassador , cleaned and detailed engine, removed and sand blasted exhaust manifolds and sprayed with cast iron manifold paint, new exhaust gaskets, painted engine the correct AMC blue, new thermostat, spark plugs, oil, filter. I am not an AMC guy, but I didn't want to see this low milage car scrapped ! Hopefully it will find a new home and be restored or at least give some valuable parts to your AMC project. Not many of these left in the salvage yards and they don't make reproduction parts !
