Very sadly to me, for sale is my 1998 BMW 540i 6-speed Supercharged by VF Engineering I've enjoyed it and babied it for 5 years, and now it's unfortunately time for me to let her go .Has only been supercharged for about 1.5 years. Only selling because my new commute consists mainly of gridlock city traffic in which I no longer am able to enjoy this car and let it stretch its legs. Feeling like I need to make the unfortunate switch to automatic. Very rare factory Aubergine paint over Sand leather, factory sport package. 152k on chassis, 80k miles on engine, 70k miles on 6-speed transmission. 10k miles on supercharged engine. Additional upgrades include: Dinan full exhaust system and 3" outlet, Dinan strut tower brace. Dinan short shift kit. factory slotted rotors. E39 M5 wheels (18 inch OEM), E39 M5 sway bars. M5 front bumper with genuine carbon fiber splitters, M5 rear spoiler, M5 headlights, Bilstein HD shocks. H&R Springs. Victor steering wheel, '01 face lift tail lights, factory 2003 540i M-Technic Rear Bumper M door sills, M shift knob, and more. I recently decided to switch from the BBS RS-GT wheels to the OEM E39 M5 wheels for a change. Although some of hte pictures are with the bbs's, it will come with the M5's on it unless you want the bbs's as well. VF Engineering states this car should make 415 horsepower and 410 lb-ft torque. Dyno ran at Motion Lab Tuning in Charlotte. The result - 369 rwhp and 382 rwtq. MLT projected. 425hp/440tq at the engine. Will easily outrun a stock E39 M5.Runs and drives excellent - an awesome all-around performance car with the supercharger setup. Rear tires getting worn. Moonroof operation has been inconsistent lately. DICE ipod connect unit stopped working, but radio/audio works fine. Carfax will show two accidents - one in 2005 which was minor door damage (well before I owned it), and one very minor one with me back in December. It has been a very reliable, smooth, and powerful daily driver for me since. Fresh oil, belts, cluster, wheel bearings, air conditioning repair (ice cold). and battery. Fantastic service/maintenance history, tons of replacement parts over the years. I have a bulging folder with over $30k worth of maintenance records/receipts that go to next owner.
