Purchased vehicle non-running several years ago. Finally got it running Dec 2012, Drove it until June 19, 2013 putting approximately 3500 miles on it. Coming home, hit a bump and registered a ground fault and the truck stopped running. I have been searching for the ground fault since then and knowing nothing about electricity cannot find it. Truck is powered by 52 lead acid batteries through a Hughes Dolphin controller driving a 50KW AC motor. Top speed is governed by computer at 80 mph. Sale also includes laptop with serial port/cable and software for diagnostics and setting parameters for system. The batteries are 52 lead acid GEL sealed batteries 26 installed in Dec 2012 and 26 more added 2/1/13. Range before the ground fault was approximately 60 miles, however the most I ever drove it on one charge was 72 miles and it was starting to slow down as I pulled onto my home street. After getting the truck running, I had the body redone and repainted so there are no scratches, chips, dents or dings and as an after thought two yellow and blue stripes were added. (http://uselectricar.com/Truck.html) The truck is available with all the parts I have accumulated, manuals and a tilt kit that I never had time to install that would allow the truck bed to tilt up for easy access to the battery box. I also am including two wall mounted Magnechargers for 220 volt charging. Before the ground fault both Magnechargers worked and also there is a 110 port that works. The ground fault is the key.
