Relisting my Jeep because a EBAYER decided to play games and didn't realize this is a binding agreement when you offer an amount then back out and give excuses no time for that nonsense is a This is my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee which I bought a few years ago from the same Dealer in New Hope NJ that years before got a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee as well After my experience with the same truck and the same dealer I was so happy that these trucks will last forever with minimal maintenance. If you want a truck for reliability and durability and cheap to fix whether its a second car or a daily driver I would buy another jeep again over an over again from the 90"s. If anyone knows or doesn't know do your homework on the 4.0 inline 6 is one of the best indestructible motors jeep ever made. After having two It brought pleasure to realize this was correct . The first one I bought with 170,000 miles and sold it still running with 300,00 miles no motor work or oil burning it was amazing. I'm only selling this one which I don't want to or need to but I have a VW R32, a Jeep SRT8 and a Corvette ZO6 so having four cars in a townhouse development in not an option anymore so she has to go. My idea was to have it lifted and work on it and make it another toy but after acquiring the new VW R32 I decided to put my project else where so here is what I started Let me list the good and what has been done within the last 7 months. 1. New front shocks front and back 2. Water pump 3. Alternator 4. Battery 5. New Sony Radio 6. Front and Rear JVC Speakers 7. Radiator and Serpentine belt 8. Plugs Cap and Rotor 9. Front stabilizer Shock 10. American Racing Rims 11. Four new tires Now for the issues at hand 1. Transmission shifts flawlessly while driving on highway but when you come to a stop and then pull away sometimes the Torque convert slips and then catches never investigated it.. could be a transmission sensor or the torque converter never bothered me enough because I was always doing highway driving 2. power windows and door locks just stopped working one day. Never had it formerly looked at could be a fuse or door module. never investigated any further because AC works cold in summer didn't care to have windows down and heat works in winter where you going to have windows up .. 3. the rear trunk door use to open but seems the cable for handle needs to be replaced which is cheap but the rear hatch window opens fine 4. ABS light has been on since I bought truck two years ago and never affected brakes in anyway so never bothered investigating because brakes work fine these issues for me never bothered me but just like to be honest with others .. 5. slight cracking noise when turning slow which is the rubber bushings in the upper and lower control arms needs new Bushings. These things never annoyed me enough to work on because the truck was a pleasure to drive in and out of winter with Four wheel drive ...most of these year trucks that I have checked out when I bought mine had so many issues and rust because they were not taken care of but the two that I found were an absolute pleasure in reliability and never was stranded anywhere.
