After building a relationship with one of Japan's largest vehicle exporters, I became an importer of rare and unique 4x4's. I specialize in Toyota Land Cruisers and other Toyota 4x4's. I legally imported this low-mileage BJ74 turbo-diesel at the end of 2014. It is 100% legal to own and drive in all 50 states. Outside of the US, the Land Cruiser 70 series is a legendary vehicle platform well-known for offroad capability and unmatched reliability and durability. Now that these vehicles are past the 25-year-old limit, we can enjoy them here in the states. eBay requires a 17-digit VIN in the listing, the actual VIN for this BJ74 is BJ740002816. It was produced for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) and does not have a 17-digit VIN. The original VIN plate reading BJ740002816 is still fixed in the factory location on the engine firewall. Additionally, this factory VIN is stamped into the frame rail behind the drivers side front tire. The Missouri title and customs documentation all match this VIN. 100% Legal, Fully Documented, Missouri Title First, this is a 100% legal and documented import vehicle. I have copies of all the customs, EPA, DOT and import paperwork that will go with the vehicle to the new owner. This BJ74 has been titled in Missouri, and can be legally titled and driven in all 50 states. In the few places where diesel emissions testing is required, this vehicle will pass local inspection, guaranteed. Replacement parts and accessories are generally available to ensure a long life of service. Driving a right-hand-drive vehicle is not nearly as difficult as it might first appear. Only 75,316 miles (121,259 KM's). The original chrome wheels and chrome PTO winch bumper with fog lights give this BJ74 a great JDM style. Everything on this truck works. It is in 100% roady ready condition with the exception of the tires. The tires have very little tread and would need to be replaced before extended driving. This truck has some cool and rare factory options including power windows and power locks. The interior is in very good condition. There is a tear in the side of the driver seat, but the rest of th interior looks "like new" (common with Japanese vehicles). The power windows and locks are a nice convenience. The headliner is clean with only one small tear (visible in the complete set of photos). The dash and instruments are in excellent condition. The carpet is clean. A 24v-12v converter and 12v Japanese-band stereo were both already installed when the truck arrived. The factory AC has been serviced and blows ice cold. The body on this BJ74 is better than 95% of the trucks I see, and has all-original paint. There is a small spot of rust on the exterior of the windshield frame (visible here). There is also a small amount of rust in the passenger-side lower rocker (visible here). Otherwise, there is no rust in the rest of the truck. The floors, rear quarters, wheel wells and fenders are clean. There is some paint fading on the top of the removable fiberglass top (visible here). That's 121,259 KMs. 13B-T 4-Cylinder Turbo Diesel Engine The 13B-T is a Toyota-built diesel engine that has been used in vehicles sold around the world. The 13B-T features a 3431cc inline 4-cylinder engine with direct-injection fitted with a turbo and has a compression ratio of 17.6:1.
