Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a 2003 Honda Element EX SUV with 106xxx miles. It is a front-wheel drive not 4WD which is much better(trust me). The good: I am the 2nd owner--it runs excellent with no mechanical issues. It has recent brakes all around (Incl Rotors pads & calipers) 2 new front axles and a knock sensor. It runs excellent overall. The one Major thing I had to do a brand new OEM Catalytic converter last November which set me back about $600.00. The best thing about these Elements is that they have timing chains not timing belts so no need to ever replace them. I have the clean CT title in hand! It is basically impossible to find an Element of this Vintage with less than 180k miles. This one has 106k. I bought it last Jan from the original owner with approx. 80k on it. A/C works great as do all the electricals. I am a tennis coach and have used this Element to haul plenty of Tennis ball hoppers, bags & other gear----its great for hauling a lot of stuff. It has recently passed Connecticut state inspection & emissions. The reason I'm selling is that I am buying a new Toyota Prius V & am selling this instead of trading it in. The bad: Its all cosmetic (as pictured) My garage door fell on the hood (see scrape marks on hood in picture) & dent in left rear (also pictured but I bought it with said dent). Drivers' seat has rip in seat bolster. If anyone is interested a local Junkyard has an exact same silver hood in decent shape that I can have installed for an additional $200.00.Also has a rust around the rubber lining of windshield----IT DOES NOT LEAK---not even a little!! Most of the older elements were affected with this issue. I am not big on cosmetics----I care about how the car runs above all else but I can understand how it might be the most important thing for some. And yes I do understand that it brings the value down some as well. Honestly if you were to replace the hood with aforementioned junkyard-hood it will be good even cosmetically. Please call me with any questions you may have at 203-927-5853.It can be driven anywhere no problem! On May-19-15 at 02:23:00 PDT, seller added the following information: The key FOB is temperamental ---it worked before but doesn't now. Also the plastic paneling on back of the rear hatch comes off when slammed!
