Vehicle Detail
Bought this car from Michigan a few months back. Unfortunately I now need to sell. You don't see the GT model every day, most are convertibles, and the GT has a nicer fit for taller people. Looks like the poor-man's Aston Martin! The car is what they call a "10 footer". It is by no means a show car, but also by no means junky. Under 55,000 miles on her. I'ts the perfect car for the minor father/son project (if that still happens in the ipod age!), or for someone who doesn't see spending 20+ on a fully restored car. Body is solid, there looks to be some fill under the paint but not a crazy amount. The clutch sometimes sticks from sitting for a while but will warm up and work. Here is the original description and pictures from the guy I bought it from. The car is in NJ now and still has the Wisconsin title signed & ready to go. For Sale, Very Nice 1972 MGB GT, This car has been in dry storage for many years, I am the Third Owner, The Title is clear from Wisconsin 1975, There is NO rust on the bottom or trunk, all original rustproofed, Engine runs great, transmission/clutch is fine, brakes are good, Lights,Horn,Heater all work, Has Original British Leyland radio that does not work (May be a fuse), Wire rims in good shape, Tires have a lot of tread but a bit of checking/cracking in sidewalls, Very Driveable, Spare tire is new, Also on wire rim. Interior is in perfect condition including head liner and seats and door panels.Body is rust free, but was repainted at some point, driver quality at best. New Battery and clutch slave cylinder, No leaks or smoke, runs great, Runs cool with great oil pressure(Just changed oil also) but needs a muffler (hole in bottom). With a better paint job this could be a show car. Also has all original trunk tools and jack, and hub puller. Please call with any questions, Thanks for looking. On May-20-15 at 08:00:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Getting a number of questions about whether or not the car is ready to drive a long distance. My answer would be "no". The reason is it has been sitting a while and will obviously need some bugs worked out, lightbulbs, and just driven to make sure everything's safe. Shipping from Mich to NJ was only $450, with that being said, a shipping company will be your best bet.
