This car has a great potential for a parts car or even as a repair job for the talented body repair technician. It is being auctioned with no reserve! It was hit hard from behind however the frame was not badly damaged, and could be repaired. It is very complete and all original car that also be a great resource for your restoration project on a 1964 Buick Skylark Body -- Grade Repairable: Prior to the accident this was a nice car with just some light body repair. Trim Code info: 06C ST 64-4367 FB 3701 BDY TR 169 SS 6 PAINT ACC 52 06C = 3rd week of June build date 64 = 1964 4367 = 2 door convertible FB = Flint Michigan TR 169 = Saddle SS 6 = Bronze Mist White top VIN Reads 3K1205959 3 = Buick K = 1964 1 = Flint Michigan 205959 = sequential number Frame -- Grade D : Damaged in the rear, I’m told it is very repairable Bumpers - Grade D : Bumpers are damaged. Bright work – Grade B : All trim is on the car. Some was damaged in the accident however, Other then some very light patina is all original and will clean up well. Glass Grade B+ : All original glass in very good condition. All rubber and fuzzies are original and will need replacement. Interior B: Great all original interior, bucket seats are ripped but great base for restoration no rips in the rear seat upholstery. Great door and rear panels. Dash is clean and will just need some light cleaning and restoration. The convertible top needs replacing, and the power top motor would not activate when I hit the switch. These are pretty easy to service and parts are readily available. Wipers turn signals, headlights all work great . Wheels Grade B+ : Factory correct 70’s vintage Chevrolet Camaro Aluminum finned wheels 15 X 7 center caps have Buick emblems on them Tires Grade B- : Very Nice Grand Sport Radial tires, no weather checking, excellent tread, holds air, rolls down the road smooth, no idea on the age. Suspension Grade OK: Visual check, is complete with no signs of wear or damage, have not road tested other then around our parking lot. Exhaust Grade OK: Nice sounding custom dual exhaust. Rear-end Grade OK: Numbers matching original rear differential contains original open 3:08 rear-end gear. Ignition Grade OK: Factory original points set up, starts up easily with no misses. Air Conditioning/Heater Grade B: Non/A/C car, no leaks, fan works, original heater controls and work as designed. The fan motor operates and works like new. Transmission Grade OK: Original 2 speed Powerglide speed with factory original shifter and linkage. No leaks fluid looks clean. Brakes Grade NOT OK: Power Brakes with drums all around. No brakes at this time appears to be a master cylinder Engine Grade A: Original 300 V8 with 2 barrel carburetor. Complete with all original brackets and equipment, nice complete original car under the hood. Does not smoke on start up or after warmed up. Due to brake concerns have not driven it under hard acceleration. No noises or knocks cold or warm. No serious leaks just some light weeping around the valve covers. Summary: This would be an excellent source for parts on your restoration project and my friends in the body repair field tell me it would be fairly easy to repair, but I don’t know if I feel comfortable making that statement.
