Vehicle Detail

I purchased this bike late Fall 2011 from a shop in Indiana. These are the things I had done to it, and what I spent, in March 2012 by Analog Motorcycles (http://www.analogmotorcycles.com). Scope Of Work -Install kneepads -Install Trophy Stickers -Replace all wheel bearings -Rebuild forks with new stanchions, seals, bushings and oil -Replace engine oil and clean filters -Install new (used) handle bars -Have Speedo Rebuilt and install with new cable -Fix brake light malfunction -Powder coat wheels and rebuild wheels with new powder coated spokes, new nipples, new tubes, and new tires. -Replace brake shoes front and back and adjust brakes -Replace left side tank petcock -Replace chain -Install new rear shocks Labor $1200 Parts, Material, Services and Shop Supplies $1700 Total $2900 When he finished with the bike, this is what he wrote - "Trophy is all done...turned out great, i attached a couple pics and invoice....took for spin after all assembled...rides and stops great...i fired it up today to get oil warm to drain and change...then went for a ride...it does leak oil (as almost all british bikes do)...primarily on the top end...valve cover and side rocker cover...just want to make you aware...it is not horrible but it will mark it's territory" Three years later I would say the exact same thing is true. As you can tell by the mileage on the speedometer picture below....I've barely driven it since then. The odometer on it before was broken so I have no idea how many miles the bike actually has. The place where it has sat in my garage has no oil leaks on the ground but when it runs, and in the pictures, you can see the small leak. The rubber foot peg covers need to be replaced. The headlight looks its age and the headlight mounts have holes that you can see. Not sure if somebody changed headlights at some point or what. There are some nuts/bolts you can see with some rust on them. I don't see any rust anywhere else. I have the wire exhaust guard that is included with the bike. One of the screws fell off of it so I had to take it off. Just find two screws that fit and it can go back on. It has sat in my garage in Chicago for 3 years. Each year I've put a handful of miles on it in the fall and add fuel stabilizer. Fenders, seat, engine, tank, all look very good even considering the age. This is a 1969 motorcycle and I would not call it mint. It took about 10-15 kicks to get it started when I took these pictures and took the video below. Then again, at one point I was confused which position I had the key in so that might have resulted in the need for a few more kicks.... If there are any questions or if you want a new picture taken, please be specific. There is nothing mechanically wrong that I know about. Since I've only driven it 20 some miles....
