Vehicle Detail
1946 Ford Super 8 Coupe Project Car Runs & drives good. I bought this car about 2 years ago from a gentleman in Arkansas that found it in a barn. He got it running and unfortunately wasn’t able to finish the project. He had put a lot of new parts: new brakes (shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake lines-hard & rubber), new fuel pump, gas tank cleaned, radiator checked & cleaned, new belts & hoses. It had been sitting about a year when I bought it so I did several more things toward getting it closer to being on the road: new pertronix electronic ignition, distributor cap, spark plugs & wires, rotary cap, new battery, both battery cables, new starter (NOT rebuilt), new solenoid, new carburetor (NOT rebuilt), new accelerator linkage, new thermostats. THIS IS NOT A SHOW CAR!!! Please look at the pictures carefully!!! Although it runs & drives good it still needs more work done to be roadworthy. It needs rewiring. The body is pretty solid (a few dings & dents) and just a couple rust spots and the frame is in good condition. As far as I can tell the car has never had any rust repair or wreck damage. This is a complete car-all original. You can restore it or make a rat rod whichever direction that you want to go in. It would take very little to make it a driver. The reason I am selling it is that my health has deteriorated & my grandson that is going to college drives a Honda and is not interested in vintage cars.MILES ARE EXEMPT. *We have had this car listed twice in the last month as a "buy it now" however the first person that "bought" it did not contact us or follow thru with the purchase. He was reported to the Ebay resolution department which allows us to relist it. We do not know what the consequences were taken against him. The second person that "bought" it did not pay the required $500.00 non-refundable deposit and requested that we cancel the purchase after we contacted them on the 3rd day. No reason was given as to why they did not follow thru with this contract so we are relisting it again. We apologize to anyone that had questions pending but once he chose to “buy it now” we were not able to respond to the questions. Please submit any questions that you have.*Fourth time around on Ebay. Apparently another child was allowed to play on Ebay & did not follow thru with the contract. Since no one had the courtesy to contact us, we really have no way of knowing if these people are scammers, just have a real problem or have nothing better to do than to cost other people time & money. My husband has been in & out of the hospital since the first listing and does not need the stress of dealing with this. We want to sell the car, period. Please check my feedback. I have been buying & selling on Ebay for over 7 years & have 120 positive feedbacks that are 100% positive—NO NEGATIVE FEEDBACK AT ALL. Please do not bid if you do not plan on buying. This is not a game! We are dealing with real money. Ebay does not list items for free! NOTE: THIS IS A BINDING CONTRACT! THE $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT MUST BE MADE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTION CLOSE! PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON PAYING! $500 Non refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction close thru PayPal and bank wire for balance within 3 days of auction close.
