2001 Mercedes G320 / G-Wagon - Green G 320 VIN: VAG46323317913623 European import Best SUV out there for visibility, height and spaciousness. You simply can't beat the 360 degree view from the driver's seat. This one includes the original Blaupunkt cassette radio, power sunroof, power windows, heated seats and cold AC (I live in Texas!) I have lovingly cared for this G-Wagon with two mechanics -- both from Holland. One of them is in his 80s who has worked on Mercedes for fifty years. There are four Michelin P265/60R18 tires, purchased 8/7/14, with only 2,443 miles on them. I've attached photos of maintenance / repairs from the past couple of years: This G Wagon is extremely clean and comes from a history of non-smokers. It was imported to the famous Europa Santa Fe, in 2002. This 14-year-old car has extremely low mileage, averaging slightly over 7,000 miles per year. The black leather interior is in beautiful condition. You almost never see a G Wagon in green and V6s are few and far between. It has current Texas plates and registration. The only thing that does not work to my knowledge is the cruise control. There is a surface rust bubble on and under the leading edge of the hood and the bottom left corner of the rear door as seen in the photos. A Mercedes body shop told me that this surface rust is easily repaired. You, as the buyer, may want it inspected before purchase and we can coordinate that. eBay Motors recommends a 150-point vehicle inspection through SGS Vehicle Inspections. The only way to get one was to specially import, so this is a rare find as they were never sold at domestic dealerships. Grey Market G Class Mercedes have a rabid cult following similar to that of Land Rover Defender 90s. They are built by hand and known for their performance and amazing durability. My mechanic is a expert on G Wagons and knows this one inside and out. It was first and foremost a heavy-duty off-road vehicle favored by various military groups and safari zealots. Loosely translated, Gelaendewagen means "tough terrain vehicle." Those familiar with this rig usually call it by its nickname, G-wagen. Usually propelled by a diesel engine, the early G-wagen was not luxurious by any stretch (manual windows and tartan cloth seats were the order of the day) but developed a reputation for being able to get through most anything, no matter how treacherous or steep the terrain.
