Up for bid is our 1996 F150 XL. 302 (5.0L) V8, auto, dual tanks, bedliner, sliding rear window, class III hitch, Factory Alarm. New Goodyear Wranglers summer of 2014, less than 4000 miles on them. We've owned the vehicle since 1996, adult driven, never smoked in. Oil changed every 3000 miles since new. It has been in El Paso since new, ZERO RUST. Ice cold A/C. Truck starts,runs,and drives great with plenty of power. No odd noises or smells. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country tomorrow, and I would trust it to get me to work everyday. Fly in and drive it home. It's been driven daily since new, never allowed to sit. Passes Texas Safety and Emissions Inspection with no issues. Doesn't burn or leak any oil. No glass damage. We have clear Texas title to truck in our name, no title issues whatsoever. Body is straight other than parking lot dings. No mechanical modifications to the truck, it's just like Ford built it. If you're looking for a good, reliable older truck....this is it! Demerits: Paint is very faded from the West Texas sun. Body had normal parking lot damage for a 19 year old vehicle. Has very slight transmission leak at the pan, leaves a 2" stain weekly on the ground. Dash is cracked. That's it....truck is very solid and well cared for. Now for the fine print: Payment is expected in full within ten days of auction ending, and truck must be picked up with 10 days of end of auction or the truck will be relisted, and bidder will be reported to eBay as non-paying.. Cash only, no checks. $500 deposit via Paypal within 48 hours of auction ending, balance in cash when truck is picked up. Buyer must pick up in person, or arrange their own shipping. El Paso is served by the major airlines, Amtrak, and bus. I can arrange for buyer to be picked up at any common carrier terminal. Truck is as is, where is....no warranties expressed or implied. Once it leaves my driveway, it's all yours. While I feel that it is mechanically sound, I cannot guarantee that it will make it to any destination, nor do I assume any responsibility for any breakdowns, repairs or transportation once buyer takes possession. The truck is 19 years old and has over 100,000 miles....it isn't new. It has the expected rattles, creaks, and groans of an older vehicle. Expect normal wear and tear commensurate with age and miles.
